Somehow I missed this earlier this week. Sid Fernando Tweet (on Oct. 17): "It's official. @perfectsoulire, a son of Sadler's Wells, will stand in Canada in 2012 at Norse Ridge Farm."

I'm just waiting and dreading to hear that Aragorn is going somewhere. He hasn't been doing that swell and he only got 28 mares this year.

    Re: Stallion news

He's a good stallion, but he's no value at $20,000. He has 66 stakes winners, none of which are grade 1, and 13 which are grade 2 or 3 winners. He's been a solid producer of good hard knocking race horses that have made their owners money and raced well in Mid Atlantic area. Most of his stakes winners have been in the state bred, Maryland races, West Virginia, PA, NJ and NY. Great horse for a breed to race, but no value at $20,000.

Suddenly there's money, honey. ;-) Did you see the thread I posted about the 50% increase in breeders' awards?

Some KY farms are trying to get in on the ground floor.

There was an advertisement on thoroughbredtimes for Perfect Soul and Norse Ridge in 2012.

(scroll 3/4 of the way down towards the bottom of page)

My question is: why did Darby Dan leave his advertised stud fee at $15K (the highest of all Darby Dan Stallions?)

I know Fipke wanted to make him the next El Prado or N.A.'s Galileo, but what went wrong here? PS's progeny seems to like turf and poly and can close at even sprint distances!
