Some sons of AP Indy just can't produce, especially when the dam is a multiple G1 winner like Urbane. Suave just couldn't produce that big horse that was expected of him. Was it the lack of speed (Pleasant Colony 2nd broodmare sire) as I seem to remember Urbane did have some good speed herself, and was able to stretch it a route of ground...
It'll be interesting to see what they do with his full brother Worldly when he retires...
Another example of an AP Indy stallion out of a multiple G1-winning mare who has decreased tremendously in value is Full Mandate. Hartley DeRenzo dropped his stud fee from 5K to 1.5K in the past couple of years. Anybody know what he'll stand for in 2012 (or to where he'll ship?)?
