I'd also like to say Hi to everyone. I've just become a monitor. I used to moderate on the old Final Turn, but I was ill for a while. That joint died, I guess. Just carry on. I'll be feeling my way around for a week or so, probably, but I'm pretty easy going. I'm not hard to get along with.

    name: Chris

    home racetrack:
    Thistledown...I never go though..

year of your first horse racing wager: 1983 ( at the age of 15 with my Dad )

strengths: Pedigree, Maiden races and Finding overlays

weaknesses: Making too many bets and passing races. I'm getting better at it.

most important handicapping factor is: Pace and Form...Who's getting the lead and can they wire the field. Is the horse in a improving or declining form. Are there any indicators that an improvement is likely today.

least important handicapping factor is: Morning Line odds and fractional times in a race.

    your favorite wagering pool:
    Win Pool..

favorite handicapping book / author: Don't have one..I learned more by trial and error then ever reading a book.

The Handicapping Forum can be improved by: Not sure..I've only been here for a short time..

Re: Profiles: TBC handicappers - join in

    name: Joe

    home racetrack:
northfield and thistledown but I do enjoy playing the cali tracks.

year of your first horse racing wager: first legal one in 2010

strengths: harness racing and cali tracks such as Hollywood park and Santa Anita. also looking at the pp's.

weaknesses: Maiden races, and a combination of wanting to play every race at one track and not looking for the best bets at different tracks for a day.

most important handicapping factor is: class drop against better, while still running close in the money, and in harness racing the driver sometimes, also odds can be a factor but all this just depends on the circumstances.

least important handicapping factor is: workouts and in Thoroughbred racing post position once again depending on the circumstances though. Usually not very important to me though.

    your favorite wagering pool:
exactas, pick 3 and pick 4's. I'll play .10 supers sometimes though. but the first three are my favorite.

favorite handicapping book / author: I haven't read any to be honest.

The Handicapping Forum can be improved by:
more participants as I've seen many people say, I honestly don't know though. but It's always nice to see more people then less which creates more ideas and opinions.
