    3 more WV Derby photos

    OK,

I think I figured it out. It seems that when I put the attachment in, that the forum opens up the image as a full size image that all of you see.

    Anyway,

I'm sure GinTalking has much better photos then I do, she's the pro here.
But, here are a few from the WV Derby.

    1st: Post Parade shot
2nd: Mine That Bird in the post parade
3rd: Big Drama was in the lead from the start.

Here are a few more from the undercard that I thought were neat. The first is a lead pony who decided to do his own thang... LOL The rider dismounted to help a jockey who was dumped by his horse and she left her pony standing alone. Well, he had other ideas and took off down the stretch where he was caught and brought back to his rider. The others are of Ravalo who won The Harvey Arneault Breeder's Cup Memorial Stakes and then For Royalty an undefeated Maryland bred daughter of Not For Love trained by Tod Pletcher.

I love the photo of the loose horse.

I missed getting photos of that whole funny incident.

    All the photos look great.

It looks like some bulky paint has bigger dreams than just being a pony horse to some cocky race winners...he's ready to take them on!

    Great pics!
And listening to some big out a' town jasper, hearing him tell about horse-race gamblin'.
Not a wholesome trottin' race, no, but a race where they sit down right on a horse!
Like to see some stuck-up jockey boy sittin' on Dan Patch?
Make your blood boil? Well, I should say!

I have to say that Mountaineer had some really beautiful lead ponies. All kinds of colors. They were really cool.
