Well, if Danedream couldn't win it, I'm glad that Buena Vista did. Congrats to her!

They said on the TVG broadcast last night that the plan was to run Buena Vista one more time, in the Arima Kinen, and she will then be retired.

Unfortunately, Victoire Pisa was not yet ready to run on Sunday after a set of setbacks.
But I was just glad that he came home safe and reportedly came out of the race fine.
And, according to today's Japanese webnews, he will be pointed to the Arima Kinen next.
So, it now sounds like his connections want to give him another run.
Let's hope he will show his true self in four weeks!!

Prior to the race, I thought that one of the most intriguing runner was Win Variation.
The only 3yo colt in that field finished in the honorable 5th place to flatter Orfevre at least to some extent.
As we all know that Orfevre is some lengths stronger than Win Variation, I really can't predict which of the two (Buena Vista and Orfevre) will be sent off favorite in the Arima Kinen.
And, as you said, this will be a heckuva race to watch!!!

    Win Variation (Katsumi Ando aboard)

After having seen Buena Vista cross the finish line first, I must not have been the only one who really prayed that the stewards would not post the inquiry sign on the board this time...

And I was very happy when the finishing order became ''official''. (確定 means official)

Congratulations to Buena Vista and her connections!!

when i came on here right after the race,i almost posted a joking comment that if she is dq'd, please no one tell me the news. but then, i just couldn't do it, even after the race was official
