    Re: Japan Cup

I don't suppose there are any other sites that will have streaming? I don't have TVG and twinspires video isn't cooperating for me.

I too am rooting for Danedream, but really I'll be happy just to watch the race.

    Re: Japan Cup

Go Danedream and Sarah Lynx! I'm so sad I came home from my trip one week earlier than this race. I would have LOVED to have seen it in person.

    C'mon Danedream...

Would be happy if Buena Vista or Rose Kingdom did well too.
What is it about single-toed ungulates running around an oval for approximately 90 seconds that inspires people to bet billions of dollars and devote their entire lives to the activity?

It was nice to see one of the peoples' favorites win in a country that's as crazy for racing as Japan is.

Indeed... the roar from the crowd was amazing. The announcers just said that BV's last race will be in the Arima Kinen, so I hope she wins that too!

Heard earlier it was somewhere in the realm of 104,000.

Justice for Buena Vista! She deserved it! Hope she can put her stamp on the Arima Kinen too.
Too much to do for Danedream.

They mentioned on TVG that Orfevre. the Japanese Triple Crown winner could be in this race also. If he is, this could be a heckuva race to watch.
Searching is half the fun. Life is much more manageable when it is thought of as a scavenger hunt as opposed to a surprise party.

    I am not superstitious.
But I do believe that it was the racing god who gave Buena Vista this win. She had been winless since her disqualification in last year's Japan Cup.
Iwata gave her a perfect ride, too.
Also I do believe that Danedream was very unlucky today.
The pace was not storng at all and the race was not set up for the closers.
She was kept too far back in the early part of the race and had to come very wide in the final straight, while top five finishers were closer to the pace.
