Bernardini? Why Bernardini? I think Tapit or Giant's Causeway would have been better choices. But meh, Bernardini has a lot to like about him even though I was never a fan. It's too bad they never got that full sister to Barbaro they wanted.

If anyone spots any of the more...hardcore Barbaro fans commenting on this, I'd really like to see what they say.

If Barbaro fans get THAT upset, then I'm sorry, that's sad. Bernardini didn't do anything wrong- and he was a tremendously talented horse in his own right. He doesn't have to be a favorite of theirs, but if they take their love for Barbaro so far as to be upset that Bernardini is being bred to their beloved's dam, that's disturbing.

FWIW, Mrs. Jackson reported in the same interview that LVR is *not* in foal now. It doesn't really belong in this thread, but since we're discussing her, here it is. I pulled a report to see if it said she aborted or slipped, but that info wasn't on there.

Wasn't there a comment on Zenyatta's blog after the news that she was no longer pregnant (the first time, before being bred again) that she had lost the foal because God had intended Barbaro to be her mate, and only if she was bred to one of his brothers would she get and stay pregnant? Some fans are really weird.

I don't know - I don't go on that blog because to pretend to be a horse and comment as if you're that horse is pretty weird. I get being a fan, but only to a certain extent, lol - and that extent is too far for me. I wouldn't be surprised, though.

    Yeah, I vaguely remember that.

It's all in good fun and shouldn't be taken so seriously. I think it's a creative way to keep fans informed.

That was the "great confession" thread where many women related their tales of miscarriages.... and how one said the reason why her child came out with red hair was because she was so old by the time she finally got pregnant her insides were rusty

I have no problem with anyone who feels this way....I just dont. On the other hand, it isn't something that's of any importance to me ....I never think about it unless it comes up in conversation

AND TO THE WOMEN ON HERE COMPARING THIS TO A MISCARRIAGE. WELL IT’S NOT THE SAME. YOU TELL ME HOW YOU’D FEEL WITH TURKS WATCHING YOUR EVERY MOVE TRYING TO GET MONEY OUT OF YOU. THEY DON’T WANT HER TO GET PREGNANT. SHE GETS PREGNANT HAS A HORSE THAT CAN’T RUN A STEP AND THEN THE MONEY TRAIN IS OVER. THEY DON’T WANT YOUR $10 ENTRY FEE TO SEE HER. THEY WANT ALL OF YOUR MONEY. WHY DO YOU THINK THEY’RE TRYING AGAIN? MORE HAGGLING. THEY ARE NEGOTIATING A RETURN TO THE TRACK. THE TURKS MAKE MORE MONEY WITH HER ON THE TRACK. MOSS DON’T NEED THE MARBLES BUT YOU THINK HE’S GOING TO TELL THE TURKS NO?

Wouldn't that be too funny! Seriously though, I hope they do get a filly out of LVR, and Bernardini sounds like a great choice to me.

Can I just say that this thread has the perfect level of snark. It's wonderful.

Thanks, Tappiano. I don't think I actually read it at the time, I think parts of it were posted here. And what is going on with that second one?

Speaking of Zenyatta, I wonder who she'll visit next year. Maybe Bernardini again?

    Clearly.
You obviously have no problems insulting people who don't agree with you - that's an interesting quality to have.

I thought your comment about it being boring being too serious was directed at me - that I was being too serious because I just think that blog is weird. If not, I apologize.
