It was and I think you are, but that isn't an insult.

If you think pretending to be a horse is fun and that anyone who doesn't think so is boring, then I'm not going to talk you off that, but it's very easy for you to say it's not an insult since you are not the target. Yes, I do think your comment was insulting.....but it's not worth arguing about.

I would find pretending to be some random horse that the person has no personal connection to odd, but that isn't the case here. Zenyatta seemed to be very much like a pet to her connections, which is why I think you're taking the blog too seriously. A lot of people talk to and for their pets, there is nothing odd about that.

Makes no sense to me as Bernardini is just not a turf sire.

I don't think they're looking for a turf foal. Shared Account handled the dirt fine, she just did a little better on the turf.

This is a nice distance cross.

Shared Account may have been a turf horse, but her pedigree is fine for dirt too. She's by Pleasantly Perfect out of the Smart Strike mare Silk N Sapphine, who is a half sister to graded stakes winner Golden Itiz and graded stakes winner Sapphire N Silk, the dam of Shaniko.

I guess we'll see - I'm skeptical, but any good mare bred to Bernardini is ok by me

I thought Betty was going to Ghostzapper but I guess that changed. Stronach bought half of her (don't ask me if it's the front or the rear) and she lives at Adena now.

While I wait anxiously for their foals to be born, I'm also interested in who Rachel Alexandra and Zenyatta will go to in 2012. I wish they would announce it.

WOW. What a pedigree for the resulting foal.
