^ Wow! That was something. He just crushed 'em, running splits of 22.35, 44.38 and 56.26 with no urging whatsoever. Ramon Dominguez was still as a statue the entire race. His fast closing second in the Kentucky Juvenile was obviously no fluke.

Chart is now up, offical margin of victory: 12 lengths. I love the chart descriptions. Short version: "sharp speed, handily". Long version: "away in good order, accelerated suddenly after entering the turn, splitting rivals en route to grabbing the front, lengthened advantage at every call, without working up a sweat, then cruised to the finish line, a handy winner".

lol Sorry. Oberon's Girl was a (even for a CQ) favourite of mine. I just loved her name and pedigree (Fairy King <3). She wasn't particularly successful (although she did place in ten of her seventeen starts) as a racer but she was still fun to follow.
