Wasn't she the one that used to boss the boys around as a foal? Glad to hear she's succeeding on the track. Do you still own her T-Bird?
[/quote]
Oh yes, she always had plenty to say when the boys tried to push her around, LOL. This is her with our More Than Ready colt (who's now a dual winner in England) when they were both about six months old.

No we don't own her any more; we sold her when she was a yearling.
Souped Up (CQ's little brother) won!!

 Yay, he won by 7 1/2. Two runners, two winners for Allspice. Attaboy Spicer!
As soon as they post the race on YouTube, I'll post it here.
Here is the replay of Spicer's maiden win on YouTube.

He looked really good, he was the heavy favourite and he ran like it. Good job Spicer!
Greetings all
I'm new to this forum, although I see some familiar posters from the PF...
Am interested in your love for CQ. What do you think his best qualities were as a racehorse and sire. What type of sire would you breed one of his mares to?
thx
jm
Hi Joltman.
CQ's best qualities as a racehorse probably would be that he had quality speed and heart. If you would like to see them, here are some of his races:
1997 Remsen (G2)
1998 Wood Memorial (G2)
1998 Dwyer (G2)
1998 Haskell (G1)
1998 Travers (G1)
As a sire, probably the versitility of his foals and the amazing bloodlines he brought to the table.
I can't comment on physical types, but as far as bloodlines I would take a good look at Storm Cat or Deputy Minister line stallions for his daughters.
Thanks Allspice
The Travers showed some grit to hold on. I'll go back through the blog and see what's there and maybe ask another q or two from those that knew this guy.

I was hoping he would. He looked really good winning his last race (his maiden win, which you can see here on YouTube). Hopefully this guy has a bright future. He is a really flashy looking colt, lots of white on him.
