Also new for the 2012 Challenge is a change to the series’ bonus program. Horses that win Challenge races in three different countries will be eligible for a share of a $1-million bonus, split evenly among the horses to accomplish the feat.
In previous years, horses had to win races in three countries outside of their native soil to earn the bonus. The rule now has been changed to include any country included in the Challenge, regardless of the horse’s birthplace.

I would love to see someone earn the bonus under the new program next year!!
