I expect there'll be more about this later.

Smart decision by Mick Kent to bypass Australia in favour of Dubai. Tony Noonan did it a few seasons back, with Benedetti and Smart and Mighty.
They were not fantastic horses, handy and capable Saturday class animals, but he took a gamble and shipped them to Dubai winning twice with Benedetti and once with Smart and Mighty.
He goes again in Saturday's Al Dana Wealth (Race 5) at Meydan.
He was 7th. Perhaps he just doesn't have it anymore.
I think they really have to be serious with this horse's future now.
He is an 8yo stallion, and isn't getting any younger.
It's either retirement to stud or be gelded and focus on a long terms career over the sticks.
He is a great looking animal, but with no form in Australia they will struggle with him for a commercial career.
He's already running back on Super Saturday:

good luck to him!
he is an abrams horse, he knows how to run back. i just am thinking he doesn't like the track there..hope i am wrong
14th...time to rethink what they're doing with him.
well if nothing else it is obvious he doesn't like dubai. he is a horse with a super personality, i would think he would adapt to another job fairly easily.
On to England?
American Grade 1 winner Unusual Suspect could be switched to Luca Cumani for a British campaign this summer after a Dubai campaign described as a disaster by his connections.
. . .
"He's 15 kilograms too light, he's on his own, hasn't eaten well and has got muscle sore working on Tapeta track over there," Kent said, speaking to AAP. "The whole thing has been a disaster.
