Re: 2019 Fasig-Tipton November Sale
And for every Miesque, Mariah's Storm, and Serena's Song, we get dozens of G1 winning mares who don't produce anything of note. I'm sure Mandy Pope is aware of that. And so does every other breeder of thoroughbreds. And any discerning fan. ;) But we all know we'd do anything to have Mandy Pope's br...

Re: 2019 Fasig-Tipton November Sale
Snaafi Dancer cost around 13,000,000 guineas back in the day and in the words of John Dunlop, couldn't beat the yard dog in a race. Spending ridiculous amounts of money doesn't equate to success. Re: Jockey club exploring 140 mare cap per stallion
Covering 245 mares is about financial greed and has nothing to do with the welfare of the stallion or the future of the breed.

@SparrowCastle
Thank you.
Should have mentioned that Path had a nice colt by Hard Spun. In partnership with Mr Janney, the foal is a full brother to the 2yo filly, Bridal Path.

Re: Phipps Horses
3 yearlings are due to be sold at the September sales. A named colt out of Daydreaming and a couple of fillies from Trophy Wife and Streaker. The remaining yearlings are a nice group, particularly the fillies. We shall see if a couple of fillies are bought at the sales next month and added to the gr...

IIRC, Danzig and his sons have a reputation for less-than-spectacular fertility. :? Has anyone else also heard that? Its not just Danzig's line. Its the Northern Dancer line. Obviously its not all of them either. Ones I can think of off the top of my head, Snaafi Dancer, Cigar, Lure, George Washing...

Re: Fasig-Tipton Summer Selected HORA 2018
Just over 900,000 for the four horses. Snap Decision was withdrawn and Bokeelia Island didn't sell. Gives a little bit of pocket money for the yearling sale in September.Flanders wrote: The highest price that I caught before that was Fire Away for $450,000.

Re: Phipps Horses
They're all fine. Always good to dream of what they can be in a few years...
9 of the 13 yearlings are fillies and are a particularly nice group. They have yet to be named officially. Particular favorites are the Abaco, Matlacha Pass and the Salute fillies. Time will tell.
