Re: Top Ten Lists 2020 Kentucky Derby

I wish we had an update on Honor AP- JS pretty vague on what his injury was- hope they have found and treated the problem.

Re: 2020 Three-Year-Olds

Authentic (Into Mischief/Flawless) won the G3 Sham Stakes for the Great White One. Azul Coast (Super Saver) and Zimba Warrior (Khozan) were behind. 90 BSF despite the trouble in the stretch, lugged in, spooked from crowd, almost hit the rail all while well in front. A little bit unusual, BB has bee...

Re: 2020 Three-Year-Olds

Bouncy is fine. Aiming powerful rear-leg kicks straight at someone's head crosses the line from 'bouncy' to homicidal. That colt should have a big, red bow tied into his tail, along with a skull & crossbones caution sign. :P I agree I really thought his trainer was going to really get hurt

I like bouncy horses with some fire. Reminded me of Shared Belief.
I like Independence Hall a lot! I love the pedigree, the way he moves, and he’s very athletic.
Me too! He has a lot of personality.

Re: 2020 Three-Year-Olds

Independence Hall gets an 83 Beyer Speed Figure for Jerome victory Wednesday at Aqueduct. That's surprising after his 101 in the Nashua. His race was not as visually impressive as the Nashua- he acted up alot in paddock, was not focused in the gate, and was not pushed over a deep and tiring track i...

Independence Hall acted up before the race,

The trainer saddling him just missed being kicked in the face... scary moment. He was standing calmly then jumped up in the air, twisted and kicked out all in an instant.

Re: Santa Anita 2020

Santa Anita will serve Christmas Eve dinner to 350 backstretch workers and their families, and there will be Santa, music, decorations and presents for the children. This makes me happy for such a hard working and dedicated group. Costs them a lot less than replacing the asbestos-filled firetraps m...

I wonder if we all place an order together and pay extra for shipping and personal travel time / time spent shipping if someone in Japan could get us Almond Eye plushies and send to the US. I am so in for this.

Asmussen is appealing the ruling, saying he had the ace given way outside of recommended timeframes, and that the cutoff levels were reflective of IV use, not oral, which is how most backstretch vets use it, and that the residual metabolites were inert and had no effect on race day. He is taking a s...
