Re: Winx

I'm pleased that Breyer has done a 'Winx,' but that model seems rather lean to me. I seem to remember her being deeper through the chest and fuller in the hinduarters. :?

Re: Across the pond

If Royal Ascot is actually held, I wonder if the Queen will attend? Although she is now residing at Windsor Castle (social distancing royal style :P ), it's hard to imagine that the traditional Royal Procession would be allowed, even if they run the meet.

I find him to be one of the few unattractive Tapits that I've seen. His shoulder looks weak, his forelegs set too far forward and his croup/hip set too far back, IMHO.
Taj Mahal, on the other hand, is gorgeous and a handsome blend of the best parts of Storm Cat/Galileo. 8-)

Blitz and Glamour ---> Good Magic

If it's a colt, maybe Copperfield?

Re: Across the pond

Australian mare has quite the diet... I got the impression from the article that the mare has quite the bad temper and is difficult to handle at the gate. I've read that high-protein grain diets can really ramp up a horse's energy, creating a horse who can be a handful to handle. Maybe Nettoyer's t...

IMO, the good Scat Daddys all seem to have a lot of 'presence' about them.

IMHO, it seems simplistic to say that it is the parents' responsibility to feed their child, because when a household is suffering from poverty, that may not be a simple situation. And many households that were already low-income now have to deal with the parent(s) losing their jobs...and their sour...

Re: Kentucky Derby and the Coronavirus

The term 'abandoned' is actually something that UK and Down Under tracks have used for years. I have usually seen it when heavy rain creates conditions too wet even for their soft-turf lovin' runners, and the card is declared 'abandoned.' ;)

This doesn't surprise me. Yeah, I was an eye-roller myself, but I also remember how he opened his stores to flood evacuees when Houston got hit so hard by a storm.

Re: Santa Anita to close ...

If there is a serious risk of cross-contamination while caring for more than one horse, who is touched by more than one person, what would you do with all the horses stabled at Santa Anita? Aren't we talking about a couple of thousand or more? They either have to stay at the track and continue being...
