Re: Day 2

MR - really sorry to hear about your boyfriend's uncle. Not being able to see him a last time before he passed and then not getting a proper funeral right after is really hard on loved ones. Tessablue - Yay for husband starting a new job!! That's a big load off. My husband and I are really lucky - a...

Re: Day 2

I go for massage at least once a month to keep a few issues in check so I can keep drilling my body into the ground with exercise. I relate to this on a soul level. Working from home is destroying my neck and back. My IT band/piriformis pain pathway is just awful. I find myself fantasizing nearly d...

Re: Day 2

Speaking of Patrick Stewart. I've followed Anthony Hopkins on Twitter and Instagram, he's one of the few famous people I follow. His posts always make me smile. He mostly posts videos about his paintings and cat. It's no endearing. My mom has a part-time job as someone that goes to grocery stores a...

Re: Day 2

Oh, and for anyone looking for something to occupy their time or ease some anxiety, I strongly recommend jigsaw puzzles! They are relatively cheap and lots of places are still shipping them or offering curbside pickup. I just ordered a bunch of lovely puzzles from galison.com, can't wait to work on...

Still not a fan of this mating Me neither. With so many good stallions not getting any younger, they go with Bolt? No matter who Beholder is bred to it's going to generate excitement, thus generate excitement for Bolt d'Oro. Still absolutely not the stallion I would have gone with, but that's the o...

Netflix recommendation: Tiger King We're watching it at night after the young'un goes to bed. Husband listened to the podcast about it, so he keeps telling me "it gets crazier!" And I don't doubt it, but shhhhhh. Everyone is nuts. Another good documentary on Netflix is Bikram: Yogi, Guru, Pre...

Re: FBI raid at Calder

Some of you folks who think it's no big deal to use someone else's forum as your personal defamation ballpark need to understand that the information I shared is publicly available, with a simple WHOIS lookup. Which is the very first step anyone would take when tracking down who to hold responsible...

Re: Day 2

Well, Wisconsin is going under mandatory lock down starting tomorrow. It's about time. Judging from the comments on Nextdoor, plenty of my neighbors are not taking social distancing seriously. They are, however, stockpiling guns and ammo. Community spread has been detected in my county and I'm not t...

Re: Day 2

Oh God! I'm so sorry. This is such an insane time to be alive. I hope you are doing ok otherwise. When you were out did you notice people not adhering to social distancing? Cuomo is adamant that won't happen here and I hope it doesn't. I will lose my mind if I run/bike outside. I don't even see oth...

Claiborne just posted the recording to their Facebook account. It's not ideal in that format given the screen size, but if you missed or want to see it again, it's an option. :)
Oh awesome! I had checked Instagram earlier this morning and it was already gone.

Re: What Race Got You Into This?

My first visit to the racetrack was Bay Meadows in the early 1990s. Nothing special, my dad and my great uncle took me and one of my cousins. I LOVED it. It wasn't super busy, so we got to go back and forth between the paddock and the grandstand, and we placed a few bets. I was in my grey hors...

Re: Claiborne Farm Virtual Stallion Tour

I caught the tail end of it and then went back and watched the whole thing. They showed Don Julio the teaser at the end (who made a point of running up for attention) and Algorithms booped the camera. Another interesting tidbit is that Catholic Boy is slated to be in Secretariat's paddock. Also War...

My parents (both in their 70s) own a small businesses which my brother has been running so they can stay at home. So what do they do on Saturday? Go to a big open house hosted by one of their suppliers which had hundreds of people there. My in-laws went to church on Sunday, where the average...

Re: What Race Got You Into This?

Apparently, horse racing is in my blood. My dad grew up in California going to the races with his uncles. My mom's side of the family bred racehorses in Japan (don't know much beyond that though. I have relatives who share a last name with a very prominent breeder there but I doubt there's any relat...

All public (and private) schools in Wisconsin are shut down until at least April 5. My child brought his ipad home and will have online learning to do starting on Wednesday. He's in kindergarten so online learning will need to be closely supervised by me or my husband. I work from home and my husban...

Who else is just completely out of even bar soap. I went to Target to get toothpaste and it is a barren wasteland. I have been concerned about this thing since December and I bought a bunch of bar soap and pain reliever then. I'm glad I did. People are literally one step away from complete panic by...

Re: FBI raid at Calder

Per John Stettin on Twitter, “From very reliable source all Jason Servis accounts and assets frozen. No joke.” I wonder about the status of the Saudi Cup money? I wouldn't be surprised if the assets and accounts of all those indicted have been frozen. It's typical in white collar cases. Don't want ...
