Re: Honor Code ...

Let's see what happens when Democratic Values debuts on Friday back at Belmont Park. Klaravitch/Brown/Castellano teaming up with a colt with a string of works on the main track at Saratoga that suggest he as some talent. Watch him work on xbtv.com in advance and tell me he's a one paced grinder. I ...

Re: Travers 2019

Worth repeating, from late July.... ;) https://twitter.com/andyserling/status/1155252957128077312 He's a fan. Nothing wrong with that... :) https://twitter.com/andyserling/status/1165623606468141057 I'm trying to figure out which part of that was "worth repeating." He has been an extraordinarily un...

Re: Big Saturday @ The Spa

This "Tacitus always finds trouble" is a falsehood seemingly created on the internet. What was his role in it raining hard before the Derby? Was that "finding trouble?" What was his role in drawing the outside post on a track that ended up strongly biased towards the rail? Did he also play a role in...

Hoffa's Union one of four late nominees to Triple Crown Hoffa’s Union , scheduled to run in the Wood Memorial on Saturday, is one of four 3-year-olds who were made late nominees to the Triple Crown via a payment of $6,000 that was due on Monday, Churchill Downs, the home of the Kentucky Derby, anno...

Re: The Florida Derby

My name is Will. The poster Thinair likes to go around belittling people's comments and when he is wrong, he attacks the person. I made a comment about Plus Que Parfait and he mocked that. Then I said before the FL Derby Maximum Security could be the KY Derby favorite and he mocked that. All of thi...

Re: The Florida Derby

The bitter part was a bad attempt at a self-deprciating joke. As for this country.. I'm headed to Portugal in a few months and am sad I bought a ticket back. Drowning my sorrows in shellfish and vino verde could be better. I got the joke:-) Have fun. My favorite smart/crazy horseplayer moved there....

Re: Dubai Beyer Figures

Patience is a virtue. I can't find them either. Call Beyer and complain. I was just curious if they just stopped making them for Dubai. I like the UAE Derby winner. Wanted to see how he stacked up with the figures of the FL Derby and LA Derby which are both rather strong figures. Quite a weekend fo...

Re: The Florida Derby

I think if I'm recalling correctly Blame has only been following racing for a few years. I'm sorry if that isn't the case. If that is indeed the case it would make sense why he isn't as bitter and cynical as the rest of us and still has faith in this horse being the favorite. I'm not bitter, cynica...

What happened to Pletcher’s Intrepid Heart? Is he injured? Looked so promising in debut.
He's running in a very competitive allowance race on Friday at Keeneland. 8th race.

Maximum Security in now the Kentucky Derby favorite. lol https://www.horseracingnation.com/news/2019_Kentucky_Derby_odds_Theres_a_new_co_favorite_in_Vegas_123 Don't worry, nobody here will mock you when he's 8:1 or higher. However, the real question is what your stance actually is....because your m...

Why all the hype on Hidden Scroll anyway? His dam wasn't much. His siblings weren't much. It's amazing that his jocks and post positions were ever a point of contention for a horse with one maiden win. Wow.

Re: The Florida Derby

Hidden Scroll's current distance limitations are interesting considering his pedigree, but that just goes to show you can't judge a book by its cover, or a horse by their pedigree. Maybe Hidden Scroll is not very good. He has one win over a wet track at Gulfstream. His Fountain of Youth is, at wors...

I'm glad that he'll sit out the Derby and be brought along more slowly, but he kind of went from one end of the trip extreme to the other, and I really hope his past two races don't have any long-term mental effects.
So now you are agreeing with me on this:-)

Re: The Florida Derby

What else... looking forward to Bodexpress and/or Gray Magician keeping Anothertwistafate out of the Derby. Hidden Scroll must be a very confused horse after his past two races, but I'm glad he's staying out of the Derby and I look forward to betting him at, like, 3/5 in the Woody Stephens. I think...

I thought he was hurt in the Derby since he never started again.
I meant what price he was....almost 14:1 despite a lot of people thinking he would be second choice ( which he probably was on the ML ).

Re: The Florida Derby

Were the prior undefeated FL Derby winners the FOURTH betting choice in the race and almost 5-1? The comparison to Big Brown is laughable. (note the fractions and his spot in the starting gate. This is what made Big Brown the Derby Favorite/winner, despite drawing a post in the Derby near Lexington...

Re: The Florida Derby

I could see him being lower than that depending on how the remainder of the preps sort themselves out. The Wood field is a looking a little "blah", no one feels very sold on Game Winner, and who out there is pointing towards the Ark Derby? Of course, there is tons of time left though. Determining o...
