The neck operation, as such done for the first time here in Japan, was reportedly lead by an experienced doctor from the US. So Mr Tokutake of the Shadai office said that the staff expected him to come back soon to his stall, but he didn't. Mr Tokutake, with his eyes slightly bulging and dropping do...

Re: Siblings (and offspring) of well-known horses

Yes. Based on her JBIS page she was bred to Deep Impact and Orfevre, but didn't carry to term. Gran Alegria is her first to survive and race. Tapitsfly died last March. Blutgang, a grey colt ( by Deep Impact, Sunday Racing Co.) below, is her second to last (or perhaps, last?) progeny. https://db.ne...

That is shocking and sad news. Did any of the racing sites have any mention of her death? :(

I am sorry for that, but the Stud book says:

Tapitsfly (USA), Feb. 25 2007, gr. mare
Breeder: Frank Jones
Closed Record: died in Mar. 2 2018
Stud Book Reference: Am.SB.32

I have little information to present you at the moment, except that the pain didn't prevent him from doing daily exercises. 'We are not sure about the relationship with the neck pain, but he also has certain symptoms in the loin. We are sorry for breeders involved, but he cannot be replaced. Whateve...

Re: 2017 Fasig-Tipton November Sale

Catch a Glimpse sold to K I Farm, so looks like she will be going to Japan Catch a Glimpse will almost certainly be going to Lord Kanaloa, because K I Farm, the breeder of the stallion, is trying hard to establish the stallion as the next leading sire in Japan. For now, their efforts seems successf...

Satono Saltus (2yo colt out of Island Fashion (USA)) won his debut at Tokyo today, 1800m turf (soft to heavy, plagued with typhoons two consecutive weekends), narrowly beating (a head) the 2nd fav, Dark Night Moon. 3rd was Garradd (out of Gaviola (USA)), who is equally promising. Super Feather (2yo colt out of Awesome Feather (USA)) won his debut, 1800m turf (good), at Kyoto today. Re: Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (G1)

Is that what is referred to as 'flipping' the palate, and is there a remedy for that? Probably not something can be done now, this close to the Arc, so might we see SD scratched form the race? He won't be scratched because using the figure-eight noseband improved his breathing in the final workout,...
