Re: TVG

TVG has an app for Amazon Fire TV and Apple TV (and probably others). You have to have an account to sign in and they ask often "are you still watching?", but it's free and no minimum deposit (as I have no money in my account there). I just got Amazon Fire TV 4K half off for RTN. The picture is grea...

Re: The Florida Derby

I read/heard recently that the time between races at Gulfstream is the same as it would be if the races went off with zero minutes to post, but the posted post time is shorter between races to encourage last-minute betting. I guess the mindset is to get people to bet because they think the race is a...

Re: VIEWING TVG IN CALIFORNIA

If you want a streaming package to view using a web browser on your smart tv or a Roku device attached to your tv (and are not wedded to having to watch TVG), then try Racetrack Television Network (https://www.rtn.tv/package-online.aspx). Calracing is $5/month or you can get all Thoroughbred tracks ...

Oh, that's good to know that RTN did carry the Breeders' Cup. If they come out with an Apple TV app, I will subscribe to them again.

Re: Walmac International

I didn't even realize Walmac wasn't doing business anymore. I visited there a few times in its hey day and Nureyev was my favorite. I have a shoe and some tail hair of his to this day. I wandered around the stallion paddocks early one morning as well. I need to dig out my photos.

Re: TVG

Due to dropping cable tv earlier this year and going with a cheap streaming package, I wondered how I was going to watch the Breeders' Cup races not shown on NBC (which I get OTA) on my tv. Turns out the Breeders' Cup website streams all of the races using a "player's feed (Churchill's?)", so I watc...

Re: Belmont Race #10

Karen's Gem ran off pre-race with Franco. He couldn't slow her down or pull her up. The outrider had to catch her and even then it looked like it was hard to pull her up. I think she was just a tired horse in the race. They should have scratched her. She went off at 9/2 I think. Those who had her in...

Equibase

Equibase used to have a block on the upper right where you could type in the name of a horse to get info specific to that horse. It's not there anymore. Where did it go?

Right now I'm going into my Virtual Stable to bring up a specific horse and that's a pain.

Re: Derby contender thoughts

I have been combining many "systems/theories/stats" into one spreadsheet this week. So far, this is how they come out: Good Magic - alone at the top Vino Rosso - alone in second Audible - tied for third Bolt D'Oro - tied for third Mendelssohn - tied for third A 5-horse tri box for .50 cents is doabl...

Todd's quote re: this: "Today we were just trying to make sure he didn't lose a shoe. He's got some Equilox in there and we're bumping the wall out a little bit to give some good wall to drive the nails into. We're going to shoe him later." https://twitter.com/BH_CNovak/status/991648510415122433 Th...

Re: Derby contender thoughts

Is anyone concerned for those horses that are coming back on three weeks rest, such as Magnum Moon, Solomini, Combatant, and My Boy Jack?

It kind of makes me want to throw them out. They certainly are going to have it tough to keep going through the Triple Crown.

Re: Derby contender thoughts

Great write-ups on each horse, Kennedy. You put a lot of time and effort into this. I made up a spreadsheet with a lot of the "theories" and added your 20/20 to it. Mine has no history behind it to reveal its "track record", whereas your 20/20 has a great track record. I have a friend who will send ...

Re: Storm Cat sire line

I have "tossed" the first two and am on the fence about Mendelssohn. But not because of Storm Cat. I just made up a spreadsheet with all kinds of "theories" and they didn't make the "cut". With all the theories out there, I will probably be left with no horse that can win it. Hmm....

Does anyone know if there is a 2018 Derby Day wagering menu available? What are the typical Derby day minimums for Pick 6 and Superfecta? Thanks in advance. Wager Minimums: NOTE: Trifecta and Superfecta wagering on all races that qualify under Kentucky statutes. Daily Double and Super High-5 wagers...
