Group 3 placed St Patrick's Day, a full brother to American Pharoah, will stand at @JourneymanStud in Florida in 2020. -Nicole Russo twitter post 1 for 10 lifetime. So yeah, of course. Shame, he'd make someone a nice gelding. Did they ever run him on the dirt by the way? Or did they just keep runni...

Hollendorfer banned from Breeders Cup this year. Good riddance.
???
Did I miss something?
The Stronach Group arbitrarily decided to ban him because 4 of his horses broke down at SA this year. How quick they were to wash themselves of any responsibility regarding track safety.

Re: Breeders Cup Discussion?

I wonder if Facebook and other social media options have pulled those regulars away from this old-style website forum. That seems to have been the fate of many discussion boards like this, which have gone from thriving to nearly dead in just a couple of years or less. I think this year has been tou...

After finishing 7th in his debut, on turf, Prince of Pharoahs offered a convincing win his second time out, running a mile on dirt. (American Pharoah x My Dixie Doodle by Dixie Union). He's a gorgeous almost black-looking dark brown colt. I think he is so far the only Pharoah I've noticed running t...

Re: 2019 Fasig-Tipton November Sale

Wasn't there an article posted on this very forum a while back that showed that the notion great race mares don't produce well is essentially a myth? The article showed the statistics confirmed that GSW mares were more likely to produce blacktype earnings. I think the issue is people have unrealisti...

Winx, Beholder, Zenyatt... was going to say Ouija Board but I think she retired at 5. Makybe Diva arugably had her best season at 6.

And I don't want to talk about what could have been with Pharoah

I remember Cherry Wine! For some reason I had missed the fact he was a gelding. (Or was he gelded after that?)

I'm still mad she decided to breed Songbird to Arrogate after initially looking at Pioneerof the Nile, and now we will never get to see that mating happen :(

Remind me why Mike Smith isn't on him again? At-will employment is a term used in U.S. labor law for contractual relationships in which an employee can be dismissed by an employer for any reason (that is, without having to establish "just cause" for termination), and without warning, as long as the...

Here's a recent one of Shaman Ghost . This one is better because he isn't on a photoshopped transparent background. Guy in the video describes him as being "just a tick over 16.2 HH." https://www.paulickreport.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/19_0925_Shaman-Ghost_mw_mw-1883.jpeg https://www.paulickre...

Re: Stallion News

It's good to keep in mind that while Cairo Prince was at a time one of the early / rising favourites for the Kentucky Derby, he injured himself in the Florida Derby - and never got the chance to win a G1, so he did not have the glittering resumé that Pharoah, Midnight Storm or Classic Empire had whe...

Good camera for photographing races? I know this might be off-topic, but I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a good camera for photographing races? I've used my iPhone for simple snapshots, but I'd really like to have the capability of getting higher quality photos. From what I gather, one of the...

No I think Treve meant forgetting to include Cairo Prince in the list of Empire Maker line stallions standing in the US. Bodemeister is the one supposedly going to Turkey, though only a Turkish news source has announced it so far. Yes thank you lol! As an aside, Cairo Prince is actually several spo...

Re: Stallion News

Bodemeister had a decent ratio of runners to winners. However his SWs let alone graded stakes winners is rather low. Still I'm sure part of that can be accounted for the fact his closest male competitors probably raked in the better mares. You had his sire Empire Maker back from Japan, Pioneerof th...
