I thought the same. Initially I was wondering if he was a little ewe-necked but looking at his crest I think it's just a lack of muscling.

St Patrick's Day http://journeymanstallions.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/StPatricksDay__lowres_conformation_6206w.jpg He looks very similar to the other PotN sons standing at stud where it matters most. He could probably use a better lay back of shoulder as it isn't as nice and he looks a little ...

Re: Stormy Liberal gets trainer switch
I hate the overuse of the term rescue - it's a feel good marketing term that has branched out into its own market. Unless the horse was in mortal danger or an abusive/neglectful situation it is not a rescue. You just bought an OTTB, or perhaps rehomed it. An owner/trainer donating their horse to an ...

Re: Stormy Liberal gets trainer switch
Humans also have personal circumstances that factor in to caring for the elderly in a way horses do not. There are also a lot less racehorses in the USA than there are elderly folks. Not sure how that is comparable, tbh. I will say one of the biggest hurdles I can see with such a project is the fact...

Not sure if he qualifies as "interesting" in the eyes of most, but certainly I find him interesting. Mido , a freshly gelded 2yo, unraced son of Cairo Prince, out of a Freud mare. No known injuries. https://www.pedigreequery.com/mido https://scontent-yyz1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/79004397_33410058559...

Re: Stormy Liberal gets trainer switch
Did I dream it or isn't there at least one country that has such a program for horses? I.e. a retirement fund for each individual horse. I feel like it would be a great aftercare initiative, and there's multiple potentially viable ways I could see it being done. A percentage could be collected from ...

Re: NJ trying new drug detection method at track
Very interesting although this outlines the first concern I had For investigative reasons, Executive Director Nason will not disclose details concerning what substances Shadow is able to detect. However, she confirms that he is trained to find a host of banned chemicals known to be used by cheaters,...

Hoppertunity https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img924/1882/W9RKs5.jpg Is it me or does Hoppertunity seem to be built like a tank and has a striking resemblance to a quarter horse I've always thought Hoppertunity looked fairly refined and had a feminine head. He reminds me of a real work-style Arab. h...

will be interesting to see how many of the last Deep Impacts will be sold at auction vs kept by their dam's owners.
Also find that Durmente seems to be standing in. Surprised Heart's Cry isn't getting more love.

Re: California Chrome to Japan
Top horses with successful siblings exist but nice horses like Chrome rarely ever have siblings that even begin to accomplish shat they did, so I fail to see how Faversham and Hope's Love's success or lack thereof affects him a lot. While on topic, it's even weirder how breeders rejected SS because...

Danon Pharaoh , AP x MGSW Crisp (exported in utero) broke his maiden in his second start in Japan. Sorry, got this from Coolmore on FB and don't remember the track! Re: California Chrome to Japan
Racing in the U.S. desperately needs people to engage with the sport/industry at all levels. It needs fans. It needs people to fall in love with the horses. It needs people to dream about maybe buying into a horse. It needs people to fill the stands to see their favorites run. This beautiful, shiny...

Re: Stallion News
a single breeding can yield anywhere from 15 to 320 straws if I'm not mistaken (depending on quality, concentration and size of the straw) and a single dose can be anywhere from 1 to 8 straws. So depending on how they choose to go about it, it may not put more strain on a stallion. Ground collection...

She also nicks A with Pharoah. But I agree, you've got Tapit and Medaglia d'Oro, and as we saw with Pioneerof the Nile recently, there's no guarantee they'll still be here 2 years from now.
