Re: 2019 Keeneland September

Saw a Trip gelding for $500 with New Vocation i believe, and in NY. I loved the dam when she was racing and saw her at Arlington Park. I would love an offspring of hers, found a boarding facility 13 min from me for $450, but vet and farrier are extra. I told myself to be sure i have the commitment f...

Re: Article in New York Times states Justify failed a drug test before the Derby

Just because a vet would “never” use it as a PED because if side effects doesn’t mean the man with 7 dead horses wouldn’t. The amount of blind eye people are using to explain this away is annoying and slightly disturbing. Even if given by an accident there is a reason it’s banned over a certain lim...

Denali mares

I will be visiting Denali in October.

What mares does they have? It is not like there is an entire list of mares anywhere to see who is there. I know Ipi, and Serena are there. Oatsee, Arienza, Pussycat Doll, Hard not to Like, sunset Glow, as well. Anyone else I am missing?

Re: Matings 2019

Another poster said she was bred to Bolt d Oro... can anyone confirm who she was actually bred to? I would trust Maria's Mon's word on that. You might be confusing Leslie with Lotta Kim, who was bred to Bolt d'Oro (for some reason). In a TVG interview, Frank Mitchell conforms it’s a Kantharos filly...

I'm disappointed that Omaha Beach is going to retire :( I wish horses would stick around as older horses. Also, they now stand 31 stallions (including these 5)

Me too. He is really good runner and should enjoy him longer on the track. :(

She was bred to Kantharos.
Wow, really? That’s definitely not who I expected them to send her to.
She is carrying a filly according to the video on TDN.

Jockey club exploring 140 mare cap per stallion

I think it is a smart move of JC to explore this. We need to limit covers due to shrinking gene pool as mentioned.

Bad news for Coolmore and Spendthrift with several 200+ mare per stallion.

Re: Graves

I emailed McPeek Racing. Hope to hear back from them. I got the okay to see Raja Baba's grave at Hermitage. Isnt there one other horse buried there also? He has one other headstone at Calumet i think. Did try Big Sink (3 Chimneys) for Frankfluche (sp) and Gallant Bloom, but wasnt allowed unfortunate...

Re: Sadler's Well

I would LOVE to see their cemetery. I wonder what would become of Galileo when his time is up. I dont see a problem with burying a horse, it is not a bad thing since the body gives back to Nature. If euthnaized by chemical, then that CAN be an issue with ground water contamination. I just find that ...

Re: Sadler's Well

Actually ... his hide is at the farm overlooking the fields

Copied and pasted below.

After his death, his body went for taxidermy. And now he once again looks out over the fields of Coolmore from his viewing point in the Legacy room on the stud farm.

Re: Sadler's Well

Wow... didnt expect this to still be done today.

In the sorta creepy side, I wonder what happened to the rest of himself and if buried at the farm. He is a L.E.G.E.N.D in the breeding world.
