Re: A. P. INDY - R. I. P.

Not shocking at his age, but sad nonetheless. 😪 He had a great life, and my heart goes out to his connections.

Re: Photos/News about Broodmares

Not going to directly link the video because it's graphic, but Jose L. Verenzuela posted a video to twitter that Venezuelan champion mare El Comediante and Grade 1 winner Ocean Bay were completely butchered at their farm in an act of vandalism. They were both in-foal. He @'ed Blood Horse and Turf D...

Re: Report: Zayat Sued for $23 Million, Sold Shares in American Pharoah

Agreed. I've been there and that would suck. At least a relatively impartial ( I realize how ludicrous that sounds, but hopefully in the context of the entire sentence people understand what I mean) party is looking into that, as opposed to private parties who can afford to bring suit against the Za...

Modernist who won the 2nd division of the Risen Star(G2) is out of Symbolic Gesture a half-sister to Life Is Sweet and Sweet Catomine. Another SW for Bernardini as a broodmare sire... Considering he has seen nothing but the BEST broodmares from the first moment he walked into the breeding shed (and...

Re: Report: Zayat Sued for $23 Million, Sold Shares in American Pharoah

I'd like to see the "littlest" people get paid first-those whom his outstanding bills could be make or break for them such as feed suppliers, trainers, vets, etc. THEN let the largest companies battle it out in court. They have the funding/ backing behind them to afford the protracted court battle a...

2 time St.Leger winner Logician back in training. Apparently he suffered an episode of peritonitis (life threatening infection where fecal material is in their system after a rupture, etc.) and is lucky to be alive. https://www.racingpost.com/news/latest/st-leger-winner-logician-successfully-treated...

Re: Green Alligator

Flanders, if you don't locate any pictures, and Golden Gate Fields can't provide you with his win photo from the Cifornia Derby, then let me know. Between you and I we can probably get one from Douglas Worswick, son of his breeder (who is also a TB trainer, among other things) and owner of the Mount...

Re: Green Alligator

I remember a daughter of his, May Gator. It doesn't look as though he had a long stallion career, as he didn't leave a lot of progeny.
Have you tried writing to Golden Gate Fields to see if they could provide his win photos for you?

Re: Country House retired after laminitis

I knew he had issues with a cough after the Derby, but I didn't know about the rest of his battle. I honestly figured we weren't going to see him on the track again, anyway.

Re: Report: Zayat Sued for $23 Million, Sold Shares in American Pharoah

What makes me angriest is that with all of this talk about the power players in the industry taking a hit due to his actions, there isn't a lot of talk about the little guys such as feed suppliers, vets, trainers etc. For some of these guys, this could spell disaster. Many of them have already been ...
