Re: Worth watching these again

Thank you, Carole! I love remembering the horses that I may or may not have forgotten throughout the years, and what drew me to the sport.

For those giving any thought to MS stud fee, some fun facts on the Mrs. for background.....

As we all know, stud fees are not contingent on the personal worth of the owner, so I am not certain how that is relevant?

Re: Worth watching these again

Andy Serling, a man I follow on Twitter, has been posting some of these great races on his account. They have brought back so many wonderful memories and breath taking moments in this sport which we all love, some of which I had forgotten. I'm not sure if he would mind me stealing the ones he has po...

Re: No serious issues with maximum security

Maybe rest him for 6 mo and aim for next year’s Pegasus and a 5 year old campaign. Why??? Let him enjoy retirement, geesh! While I'm with you on that one, Stark, I think there is a couple of reasons why they won't. For one, West is going to want him to race at least once to prove that he was not a ...

Re: No serious issues with maximum security

I'm truly glad that the suffers from no physical issues, but I doubt that they will ever find evidence of the doping apart from Servis' recorded phone calls. I hope they give him the full 180 days off it takes for the meds to completely leave their system, just to be safe if they plan on racing him ...

Re: Foal bowling

She was. I have seen so many people on Twitter asking how horses can hurt themselves so much, and that was a perfect example! We see so many claims of "paddock accidents," so I thought that was a cute example of it.

Foal bowling

We need a little humor this weekend, but I was certainly relieved to see that all foals involved were safe! This is a perfect example to show someone when they ask, "How do horses hurt themselves so much?" He looks a little shocked, but certainly full of himself! https://twitter.com/i/status/1240398...

I've been keeping an eye on him. He is turning out to be quite a nice broodmare sire!

Stark, did you ever find it? I didn't want to post, figuring that you had already found out.

I still can't believe that he was a stallion manager at Hartley/DeRenzo Farms.

Re: Jason Servos, Navarro, 27 others investigated

According to trainers, the presence of SGF-1000 was known to be in the barns, etc as evidenced by this notice that was sent out in the dailies 5 months ago:

Re: Kentucky Derby and the Coronavirus

Having been affiliated with a smaller track in a different venue, I also have to ask if they could even afford to run the race without spectators? I know that fees paid by spectators went towards paying insurance (hugely, hugely expensive, especially for event days) wages for all of the staff necess...

Re: Jason Servos, Navarro, 27 others investigated

My internet is sketchy this weekend so it is fading in and out, but I will have to find it again. Victoria officials claimed that there are no tests for the SGF-1000, but if I remember correctly (I will verify today and post it when i can) if they had blood samples previous to a race and then (imme...

Re: Kentucky Derby and the Coronavirus

Ar a small track of which I was part, I know that fan attendance fees paid part of the purses, insurance (for that event only each time, because premiums were staggering) wages of the additional race day employees, etc. The financial implications on the part of these decisions are staggering for the...

Re: Black Thoroughbreds

Thank you for that picture, CQ! He looked Jet Black to me and we are having issues with our internet right now so I couldn't look him up to see if he was by Lonhro or not (I assumed that he was due to the name) so i was actually kind of shocked to see that he wasn't! This thread is actually what mad...

Re: Betting questions

Sorry guys, who knew it would be so hard to get your internet restored if it goes down when everyone is isolating themselves?
I'm adrift in the bible Belt, smack dab in the middle of the Carolinas so apparently no accounts I attempted to sign up for offered service here.

Betting questions

I swore that this was going to be the year when I began trying to bet on horses to help our industry instead of just being a bystander. When I began to initiate the process, I discovered that I apparently live in a state which prohibits such activities. Someone recommended that I look into offshore ...
