This. What I was trying to say but much more succinct.

Re: 105 Beyer

The Beyer is exactly what it is, a performance rating for a race. It actually confirms that he fits the profile of a "true Triple Crown winner" (whatever that means; in my mind, if they win all three, they're in that club). Consistently good, at two and three so far, better and more consistent than ...

Re: Happiness

Absolutely nothing is wrong right now. :D Incredible day yesterday, so many of the old guys at this run-down track weeping openly. Wednesday I leave for Africa--my only problem now is six weeks without Pharoah news! (Or any news.) I must have missed you posting about this before (or I forgot ;)), b...

I'm waiting for the commemorative new Monster flavor and Pharoah on the cans. Hope they take that opportunity now that he's actually won.

Re: American Pharoah

I can't imagine they won't adjust something and let fans visit him. If only a few times in the off season. Look at Zenyatta--normal mares don't get visited like she does. Pharoah won't be a normal stallion, no matter the fan-catering traditions of where he stands.

I'm in this! Going to the right in the background from his nose, that's my friend in the black, then me with the dark green hat, then my other friend. Awesome.

Re: American Pharoah

Racing all over the news! It's almost like we're a real sport. ;) The Today show will be doing a special. How cool. :D Take that, those who said it'd be forgotten about! It's everywhere. I believe this will last. People won't forget a real payoff after so many misses. I also don't think they'll hid...

Re: The 12th Triple Crown winner

Rumor has it that Webster's Dictionary is going to update it's definition of Troll by adding a flying brick . In 1924 it took Nellie Morse 1:57 2/5 to run 1 1/8 miles--not the 1 3/16 miles that it is run currently. What was the point again? We're all missing the point here I guess. I'm accused of m...

Re: The 12th Triple Crown winner

sorry but AP pulled away and won by what? 7 lengths? so much for Frosted. No Derby field to stop him. No excuses. Who did Count Fleet beat in the Belmont? I don't actually know because neither of them even have entries in Pedigreequery. Hey that's weird, I don't see an asterisk next to his name on ...

Re: The 12th Triple Crown winner

ok, wait, who do you want to go on the record with that you felt that was really a horse AP had to worry about? Where is this horse? Who is he? Take AP out of the picture of all three races, who was the next best horse in your opinion? You're missing the point. The thing is, no one else honestly ca...

Re: American Pharoah

Lol, I have an email from Bloodhorse asking me to pre-order for their AP commemorative issue. Does anyone have something like this for other horses? Is it worth it? I might put down the cash just so I have something. I want to be old and grey and waxing poetic about this damn horse to my grandkids....

Re: The 12th Triple Crown winner

Nothing to be said that hasn't already been said. A day I will never forget. Everyone in the Tulsa simulcast building was weeping. Just weeping. Saw him in Arkansas. Will never forget it. To anyone downplaying this accomplishment: Spectacular Bid. It is HARD to do this, and when it is done, it is RE...

Re: Is it always this bad?

The comments on Bloodhorse articles are awful. Someone always goes "who1 cares, even if he winszz he'l never run it faster than 2:24, all horses but Big Red suk!" It's like, "yes. Yes, we know. Secretariat has the record. Yes." I don't really see much hype, there or here, compared to even last year....

Re: Is it always this bad?

Ya know, I'd rather be able to say "yeah, that was awesome, I was along for the ride, I'll never forget it" than to say "oh yeah, the first Triple Crown winner in almost forty years. I didn't really care until he crossed the wire in front at Belmont."

Re: Hurricane season starting early

Tornado season in the US is well under way. Large tornado has been reported on the ground SW of Ok. City, and the radar map shown on The Weather Channel seems to indicate the path will take it toward Moore...again. That poor town. :( http://www.kptv.com/story/28995879/massive-tornado-touching-down-...

I want them to do it so I can get one, hire some people to figure out the best way to sneak up on it, stab it with Clovis points, and eat it.

Uh, for science.

Re: The VENT Thread

Unfortunately it appears that one person has died and many more are injured. All of my people have gotten in contact with me, and though some have damage, no one is hurt. Moore was also hit again. http://www.weather.com/storms/severe/news/severe-thunderstorms-oklahoma-kansas-arkansas-missouri-texas-...
