Re: Two Zayat horses to be sold over unpaid bills

Why as a trainer would you take his horses on though, knowing this? I wonder what the vetting process even is for trainers.

Re: Breeders Cup Discussion?

I feel like it's hard for sprinters to stay in form all season. I don't know why or if that's something anecdotal. Imperial Hint has been running lights out lately so I'm inclined to agree. I love Mitole but he's never won at 6f against this level.

Re: Breeders Cup Discussion?

Danny Dimes is making a comeback.

I kind of don't get the wavering with Cataliner Cruiser. There is a big difference between 6f and 8f, and I don't think I have confidence in a horse where the trainer is all over the place. I feel the same about Omaha Beach.

Filly and Mare sprint is a 2 horse race. Throw the rest out.

That's a Baffert horse time. Hopefully not too sharp?

Re: Horse Racing Is Its Own Worst Enemy

Are they? I think people have a really negative opinion of racing without PETA's help.

I don't see what they're doing to hurt racing so badly in social media at the moment

Re: Breeders Cup Discussion?

I don't even think he did his Derby 20-20 this year. All the regular list-folk seem to have gone MIA.

I guess if people have a lock now's the time to broadcast it. Pretty crazy how fast 2019 has motored along, we're almost 2 weeks out.

Re: 2019 Breeders Cup Classic and Watch

Not if Catalina Cruiser goes to the Mile, but i guess it's easier to face him than Mitole, Imperial Hint, etc.

Re: Horse Racing Is Its Own Worst Enemy

The EPA's webpage specifically lists animal shelters as one of the places rendering plants get their products. Even if they aren't being used in animal food, the other things they are used for is soaps, cosmetics, perfumes, plastics, etc. Its really messed up to think, Hey this fabulous new shade o...

Not sure what the complaining is all about - Big Ass Fans makes very good fans, some of them 'big ass', maybe than get Lizzo to perform beforehand.
Complete with Missy showing up. I'd be in heaven.

Degenerate sport that refuses to clean itself up can't cast stones over the word ass.

Who outside of racing fans is watching those when Georgia plays Florida State and there is playoff baseball and hockey..?

Re: Pimlico & Laurel rebuild plans

Where is everybody gonna park?! I think you answered your own question earlier in your post. Seats over suites = catering to the 1%. It is the sport of kings. It seems a lot of of tracks are aiming to go this way with any updates (see NYRA). It is the sport of kings after all. Honestly, I'm not eve...

Re: Pimlico & Laurel rebuild plans

i don't remember what happened, but why are they so hellbent on axing pimlico? with all the history there, i'd rather they choose that track as the primary focus for revamp. but as stated, i don't remember what even started all this so :?: :?: :?: Shitty racetrack in the hood, millions to fix up, c...

Re: Santa Anita Autumn Meet

That's fair. I guess my point is that these seem pretty all over the place. I wonder what they chose. The Sprint is brimming with talent, God-willing. I wouldn't say the Classic is, but 10f second back isn't easy. He's up against it regardless. It's a shame he has to to go make more babies that the ...

Re: Santa Anita Autumn Meet

well..... it does not sound like the Classic is totally out of the picture for Omaha Beach - Mandella says he is considering 3 BC races for him - including the Classic. and sweet how Mandella also said Omaha has the greatest personality of any horse he has ever had in his barn. I love Mandella, but...
