Re: Travers 2019

Probably not betting this year, but I'm pulling for Tax or Mucho Gusto.
Tacitus' medical record entry from yesterday is mildly concerning, hut maybe nothing. Hope they all come back safe.

Re: Saratoga 2019

I have been up here for much of the meet this year, so I will make a few comments from my personal perspective. The Saturday cancelation was a good call. The humidity is what may have killed a horse or two. I went on Sunday, IMO that should have been canceled as well. There are a ton of scratches e...

Re: Haskell Day

Is the point that Maximum Security was a better horse than King For a Day Saturday or that the latter could have been fourth or even third had he not been checked sharply? hard to say, but he was backing out of there pretty quickly before the claim of foul occurred. Don't think he would have finish...

Re: Haskell Day

As another South Florida resident, agreed on all accounts. Saez isn't my favorite rider but he did nothing wrong. Gaffalione was the villain in the Derby for his incomparably stupid scared maneuver, cutting outside into heavy traffic. Gee, what could go wrong? There was obviously a clipping of the ...

Re: Haskell Day

I thought running the stakes later was a good compromise. Living in South Florida I've never understood the need to start running at 12:30 in the summer when it's light til 8:00 anyway. Was very happy to see Maximum Security get another win, I don't see he did anything wrong, seemed to stay in his ...

Re: Saratoga 2019

Saratoga was right to cancel... better to do right by the horses and the humans. It;s going to be brutal in Oceanport tomorrow too. High of 96 with a 90% humidity= heat index of ~140+. I really hope they decide to cancel; they could very well pull the card off without a hitch, but it would be terrib...

Satono Gold is a nice-looking animal.... be interesting to see what he looks like after he greys out more, although this snapshot in time would be nice if it was frozen. :)

Re: Jockey/Trainer News - 2019

Agreed. That is by far the worst one that we know about... that alone made me not care about Holendorfer's fate when I read it. I now feel a combination of love, hate and apathy towards a sport that I once loved (not that has to do with 'Dorf specifically, but between all the violations for many tr...

I see that Don Chatlos will now be Jerry's assistant of record, horses will be running in his name in NY.
Question.....what happened to his other assistant Dan Ward?
thanks.
Dan Ward is his West coast assistant; Chatlos handles the East coast cohort.

Re: Jockey/Trainer News - 2019

My patience with this game is about over. I agree, and I don't feel good about saying that, but it is what it is at this point. Someone please tell me what Hollendorfer has done. https://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/articles/151397/hollendorfer-horses-dqd-in-drug-cases https://tuesdayshorse.word...
