$6500 is laughable.
The fact he isn't available for trail rides for $50 bucks an hour is what's laughable.

Re: The Cigar Mile

Pat on the Back is going backwards on the Sheets in his last three. While a turnback might help him get back to his better figs from Spring/early summer, that Kelso Beyer isn't validated by his Sheet #. Looking elsewhere and using Spun to Run (who looks a little explosive to me) to battle with Maxim...

Atta girl!
A bit of a gift of a trip for the best filly in the race. Obviously, Javi can read past performances and seized command from the get-go.

Re: 2020 Stud Fees

I very well could be overestimating him, but I think plenty are also overpaying in Kentucky. Of course they are. That's part of the industry, and the risk inherent within it. And it's cyclical and driven by supply and demand. It's the same reason why I paid a lot more for my house on long island th...

Re: 2020 Stud Fees

And yet people will still send their better mares to completely unproven sires for 10x that. Just because they can sell them, versus Freud being way too "useful" a sire to actually be fashionable at the sales. So I'm struggling to understand what point you are making. Are you bashing all breeders w...

Sequel New York Stephanoatsee - Private Destin - $5,000 Laoban - $5,000 Mission Impazible - $5,000 The Lieutenant - $5,000 Union Jackson - $5,000 Freud - $6,500 ~ That's a whole lotta G1 quality for a whole lotta nothing with Freud. And yet people will still send their better mares to completely un...

Re: California Chrome to Japan

I'd be more hopeful about him being a big hit in Japan if Shadai was buying him, not Arrow Stud. I am sure he will get quality mares, but the best mares and the stallions with the best chances are own by Shadai/Northern Farm/Oiwake Farm. I foresee the usual American non-Shadai career for Chrome. 20...

Re: California Chrome to Japan

This is really strange because last night over supper I was thinking to myself all the ways a broke college kid like me could make it up to Kentucky to see him specifically and some others. Which makes him worth how much in your mind, exactly? I hope he's the 2020 leading freshman sire. I'd bet aga...

Re: Breeders Cup Discussion?

Wow, Come Dancing has opened at a much lower price than Covfefe. Horsebagger got his bet in early Oh, if only Dennis' Moment hadn't taken half my stack down the tubes in his first stride, it might have been my money in early on her. Apologies to the rest of the passengers on my flight for the audib...

Re: Breeders Cup Discussion?

Let's talk about the Juvenile later this afternoon, which I will be watching from 32,000 ft. Dale's horse is clearly to me the one to beat, as he paired up 8s in his two races, after dumping the jock in his debut. While his last was more workmanlike than brilliant, I felt he had more in the tank if ...

If anyone is interested, we taped individual handicapping videos for all the BC races earlier today and they are all available on the NYRA YouTube page... https://www.youtube.com/user/NYRAvideo IMO, you got it right Covfefe is vulnerable with that post, but you got the wrong one beating her....

Re: Breeders Cup Discussion?

I thought 6:30 pm or is that them just sucking me in 30 minutes early to sell me crap? The latter. 7pm. Okay, since I am having difficulty with time still, am I reading things right that TV coverage begins at 3:30 pm EST?? So the F&M Sprint isn't being televised live on NBCSN? It will only be avail...

Re: Two Zayat horses to be sold over unpaid bills

I just hope that those who needed to vent about some rich guy not paying his bills feel better now. So, the guy needed to get publicly shamed to break out his checkbook. Good for Rudy for calling his bluff. Embarassing and humiliating for anyone that considers themselves a businessman. But when it'...

Omaha Beach looks insane, I wish he was going in something more exciting than the dirt mile. But then I remember that awesome performance Liam's Map turned in and maybe we'll be treated to that again. I wish they'd draw already. I'd like some pps! They draw at 7pm. Seems later than usual. I thought...

Re: Breeders Cup Discussion?

Fired up after a little R&R it seems? I am conveying scuttlebutt. Hardly endorsing the horse, having not seen his sheet yet, but he will be a price. Regardless, I may be tapped out well before that race goes to post. Side note....it's a shame what that owner/'trainer' is doing recently to that poor...
