Re: Breeders Cup Discussion?

Trainer has never had a horse this good, not sure he knows what to do preparing for the big day. Ohh, and who is the other horse? Not an unfair handicapping criticism, but the same thing could have been said prior to the Grade 1 Ballerina, couldn't it? On Sheet numbers, her and Covfefe are pretty c...

He's not overextended? Definitely seems like it.
Of course he is. It gets worse when you are a candidate for GA, and you're not very good at picking out yearlings.

Re: Breeders Cup Discussion?

Yankees eliminated last night. Giants getting toasted by the Arizona Cardinals in the first half, and I just flipped to Belmont and watched a race worthy of Fingerlakes on a Monday afternoon.

Breeders Cup can't get here soon enough.

Re: Two Zayat horses to be sold over unpaid bills

What HB said up there ^^^ and Curtis you owe me a new sweater b/c I just snorted/choked coffee all over mine. I can't even really afford a backyard horse, so I can't imagine what it's like to be so rich I can have the best horses and multiple trainers and yet NOT PAY FOR THEM. How??? Where is...

Re: Two Zayat horses to be sold over unpaid bills

I think that those who need to know, already do. On average, how long would it take to rack up $600K in training expenses for two horses? Trainers don't lien horses because a couple of monthly bills are late. This has to be an ongoing decision not to pay him for him to resort to this, imo. I'm no R...

Re: Two Zayat horses to be sold over unpaid bills

Flanders, this comment is not directed at you. Earlier there was a comment about the demise of conversation in forums like this while Horsebagger was kicking off a good old fashioned handicapping discussion about the BC. I think it's stuff like this that guys like Paulick print and all I can say is...

Filly and Mare sprint is a 2 horse race. Throw the rest out. https://twitter.com/DRFGrening/status/1185512246354567168 That's a Baffert horse time. Hopefully not too sharp? you could go crazy applying that to a very large number of stallions, though. they can't all be tapit.
I read her point to be more of the 'he's deserving of a chance' variety.

Two weeks out, expect major works this weekend for most runners. On cue, Dennis's Moment, goes 5f in 58.60, best of 65, and a full second faster than the next fastest work at the distance. Look forward to any video on XBTV, but he's gotta be one of the keys to multi-race plays, doesn't he? I would ...

Re: Breeders Cup Discussion?

I wonder if Facebook and other social media options have pulled those regulars away from this old-style website forum. That seems to have been the fate of many discussion boards like this, which have gone from thriving to nearly dead in just a couple of years or less. I hope Kennedy is ok though. I...

Where is Kennedy to launch his annual thread about his BC contenders? Normally, this initially shows up in early Summer. This year......crickets.

Re: 2019 Fasig-Tipton November Sale

And so does every other breeder of thoroughbreds. And any discerning fan. ;) But we all know we'd do anything to have Mandy Pope's broodmare band, whether or not they produce the next great star. Not at all. Amen. There's no 'Grandma's recipe' for any of this genetic jumble. 95% good fortune, not n...
