Re: 2019 Keeneland September

Hip 923 is a filly by American Pharoah who's second dam is Magical Illusion who is also the second dam of Justify. Just missed the fireworks at 975 000$ Gorgeous filly. Pharoah is really stamping his babies with balanced structure and curious, calm demeanour. That’s another one that I took care of ...

Re: 2019 Keeneland September

Thanks for the info! You’re welcome! Unless they go for decent prices I think quite a bit of the Kitten’s Joys Dixiana is selling will be bought back since they’re all foal shares Do you expect Dixiana to race some of them? It’s possible if the owner really wants to keep some of them. They’re all f...

Re: 2019 Keeneland September

I had to check the results. They actually wound up with 4 KJs, the full to Bobby's Kitten, the $700K colt, another one for $325K who's from the family of Forestry and Cash Run, plus a filly for $100K, who was the cheapest horse Shadwell bought from Book 1. I would guess all of them will at least st...

Re: 2019 Keeneland September

The $700K Kitten's Joy colt who sold today went to Shadwell. I think they've bought 2 or 3 by him. I would love to see more Kittens running abroad. I had to check the results. Re: 2019 Keeneland September

I am shaking right now. Don’t know if he sold yet, but the American Pharoah out of Escampette just went for 1.3 million. I worked with him as a foal and him, his siblings, and his dam are my favorites. The farm sold him as a weanling, but I’m just so happy for him. He went to M.V. Magnier and Sarah...

Duh. Sorry about that. Anyway, yes, he's a super exciting prospect. It will be interesting when he and Eight Rings hook up down the road.
Yes hopefully we’ll get to see in the American Pharoah. It should be a good match up if they do meet again

Re: 2019 Two-Year-Olds

Yep, I posted about Express Train a couple comments up. I even posted a foal photo of him since I worked with him when he was a baby. I can’t read the DRF article, but it looks like he will be pointed to the American Pharoah Stakes.

Express Train just annihilated the competition in race 6 at Del Mar. Flatters Eight Rings for sure. I remember quite a few people on Twitter and here were upset with all of the whipping after Shancelot was so far ahead in the Amsterdam. Is the Travers on any other networks besides TVG?
It’s on Fox

Re: 2019 Keeneland September

I've spent all morning looking through my dresser drawers and under the couch cushions trying to scrounge up enough change to buy hip 498. ;) http://apps.keeneland.com/sales/Sep19/pdfs/498.pdf I’m surprised they’re selling her because I thought they wanted to keep her to continue on the legacy.

Re: Lfsn info

Did you acquire the mare through a sale or did you buy her from someone? If she came from a sale, usually the seller has to pay the Stud fee, not sure if it’s still the same rule if you privately bought her.

Mary Lou Whitney has passed

A sad day for racing as Marylou Whitney passed away today. She did so much for racing at Saratoga including the back stretch workers. She will be greatly missed https://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing ... dies-at-93
