Re: RunHappy

The meet and greet with the horse and public on FB and Maria lying In the stall with him were exactly what Pharoahs connections did with him , seemed a silly copy . I'd like to hear more . I know she said she left the business as she made a try of it and was 0 for 22 tries . I don't trust either sid...

Re: Travers Stakes (G1)

Bafferts does not want any part of the Spa. he is a nervous Nellie when it comes to AP .doubt he brings him to a a track that beat the unbeatable. I once loved the spa but it's quirky . What the area has done to the middle class fan is a shame. If they lose the bid for the tc winner oh well , they s...

Re: Let's help Genuine Reward (son of Genuine Risk) find a s

Haven't read anything regarding a bad temperament with GR and as a yearling his handler who prior trained the Bid seemed to enjoy his personality . ,If you google NY Times , General Reward Executive Suite , there is a nice story on him . In fact several stories on him he was a very big deal in mid 9...

Re: NYRA changes to Saratoga or Chris Kay omnipotent

The 60-year-old Kay comes to NYRA most recently from The Trust for Public Land, where, as chief operating officer, he oversaw the operations of the land conservation organization's headquarters and 37 field offices. During his tenure, Kay said, the organization acquired more than three million acres...

Re: Let's help Genuine Reward (son of Genuine Risk) find a s

I'm so glad he is going somewhere where he will be loved and cared for. Let's hope he's not rehomed. What happened to Bluesthestandard anyway? After the bad press about Blues , I doubt the 22 yo son of Genuine Risk is going to be rehomed . Laura Hillenbrand , Haskin and I'm sure many more will like...

Re: Let's help Genuine Reward (son of Genuine Risk) find a s

Just saw Steve Haskin's page - Laura Hillenbrand posted that Genuine Rewards purchase is a done deal and he will be heading to Old Friends in Kentucky. She also noted he was beautifully cared for by his WY home and is in fine health @SteveHaskin: It's a done deal. Genuine Risk's son Genuine Reward ...

Re: Reservations about the Belmont?

Lol. Frosted's jock is giving him a stiff hand ride. He's definitely getting asked, just not with the stick. Don't think the stick makes the difference, especially considering Frosted was only closing when AP wasn't being asked -- once Victor shook the reins straightening out after the turn, the ra...

Re: What does the future hold for American Pharoah race wise

Wouldn't the Travers be a much riskier move than anything else, if the goal is for him to not be defeated by 3yos? We know he can fire well fresh, but if he goes to the Haskell, Jim Dandy or even PA Derby, he's going to scare off most of the competition, but you're going to find a much larger numbe...

Re: Royal Ascot 2015

It's rare to find a trainer that excels at everything, even at the upper levels of the sport. Baffert can't win on the turf. Chad Brown is much better on the turf. All those good things. Wesley Ward is very good with a few things - juveniles and turf sprinters. However, before you criticize him too...

Re: Secretariet/ American Pharoah Split Screen Belmont

C'mon V you don't have a leg to stand on in accusing Secretariet of racing on illegal drugs. With Armstrong there was actually mounting evidence against him and you still stood by him until he finally admitted it, but for some reason Secretariet is guilty of something for which you don't have a shr...

Re: Strike The Tiger

Bumped this up with Ascot meet running and old articles out there about his win .
Likely fell through the cracks . Disturbing that the first US Ascot win and trainers first Ascot win
would be placed in a 10,000 cl then disappears while in the claiming ranks .
Still hoping someone found him a home .
