Re: American Pharoah's Children

Ocean Atlantique finished 2nd today in his debut at Saint-Cloud. Andre Fabre trains for Coolmore. Color me shocked! I check his record each morning - and sometimes in the evening, too - with the other "AP babies overseas" listings, and didn't see any entries as of this morning! France Galop still s...

Re: Across the pond

The other highlight at the Curragh was A.P. McCoy’s attempt at a flying dismount after winning the Champions Charity Race. It sounds like it was a lovely day. It was nice to see all the tributes and support for Pat Smullen in his cancer battle—and a lot of money was raised. Well done everybody - you...

Re: Siblings (and offspring) of well-known horses

Tapability (Tapit/Groupie Doll) and Personal Time (full to Orb) are both in R3 at GP (MSW 7F dirt), coming up shortly. Both are 4YO colts and Personal Time is the betting favorite. Personal Time was 2nd and Tapability chugged home 3rd. Tapability broke his maiden yesterday in R4 at Gulfstream Park....

Re: Across the pond

I have a question about Irish racing. There's only two Irish TC winners, and it's been a coon's age since them. I can't remember the last time a horse even had a shot at the ITC. It probably wasn't in my lifetime. Is there a reason for this? Is it just that hard? I've read that the reason there's s...

Re: horses with unique coloring/facial markings

Logician, who just won the St. Leger, is registered as roan. But isn’t it impossible for Tbreds to be roan? Or is it just a registry thing and he’s not actually a true roan?

Re: Horses with good amount of images

People always used to gush over a horse called Honor Code, a very pretty dark bay. Another pretty horse I can think of is So You Think, an Australian superstar that moved to the UK and had tons of success. Both won and raced frequently at the top level and there’s plenty of photos of them out there...

I am a little surprised as to how long they were able to keep this information covered up. Wonder who tipped Drape off?

Re: 2019 Keeneland September

Holy Wow. And here I was surprised at the $4.1 Curlin colt, although not so surprised it was Godolphin getting him. Then this girl comes along and blam - exactly twice the Curlin colt price. Godolphin seems, IMO, to be willing to go far higher for colts -- aka stallion prospects -- than they do for...

Re: 2019 Keeneland September

Goldolphin bought the Curlin-Bounding colt AND the WF - Believe You Can colt. $7M spent in minutes. Did they get into a p*ssing contest with Coolmore again? Inb4 Green Monkey. Coolmore was the underbidder on the Bounding colt. Not sure about the BYC colt, but the “lads” do love them some War Front.
