Looking At Bikinis

I get where they got the name -- Lookin At Lucky - Bikini Beauty -- but it's a horrible name!

Re: Stallion News

Some horses are just so tough, and keep fighting. Paynter is one of those who came back from the brink. Wishing the same for Roaring Lion.
Power up, Lion.

Re: Saratoga 2019

Thanks, WarBiscuit and Old Bones. That's sad news, indeed. Could not have been more in the public eye for the anti-racing people to get started.
RIP Fight Night. Hope Javier is OK.

Re: Equibase chart notes

I've always wondered who the chart writers are, and how you get to become a chart writer. Does the same person do all the races on the card, or are there a couple working alternate races. I imagine they use the replay to focus on each horse. Definitely seems like a really interesting job if you love...

Equibase chart notes

Many charts give the barest bones of what transpired in a race, but once in a while, you come across a real gem that clearly reflects excellent writing and care. Today, I read the chart for Belmont's 6th race as I follow Gidu (a Frankel colt) and wanted to acknowledge the commitment of this anonymou...

The Turkish jockeys look longer-limbed than USA riders. Do they ride at the same weight as over here?

Re: 2018 Keeneland November Sale

Finally found the Keeneland thread. Wonder why Pavini (hip 163), only sold for $200,000. She's by Dubawi, and her dam sire is Sadler's Wells. Additionally, she's in foal to American Pharoah. If her physical was not great, hard to think she'd have been approved to be bred by AP. If the mare's owners ...

La Verdad's Tapit filly, 116A, in the ring. With her blaze and four sox, she's pretty flashy.
$800,000.
Mandy Pope and Three Chimneys bought her.
