So. What's it gonna take for you to ask for a TC winner for me since yours came true right after you said it.
He likely will predict that right AFTER it happens. lol

Re: Del Mar plans to install dirt track for 2015

The really BIG question is who will be the track superintendent? Will it be a dirt expert? Will it be the current poly team? Will it be a guy who likes to steamroll the track to superfast hardness? This to me is the big question......when the CHRB originally said there needed to be a change away fr...

They will now get a Breeders Cup but likely will not get those amazing Pick 6 carryovers.

[(as an aside, PLEASE, people, stop quoting Sound of Freedom. When you do, I have to read those posts). Only if you and others promise to stop quoting horsebagger. (Actually, not many do thankfully.) But you don't have to read the posts, once you see who is being quoted, you can just scroll past it...

Virtual racing, where I can put on a pair of glasses and ride along with the horse I bet.

Re: Normandy Invasion returns on Saturday

This horse has a very good chance to be one of the best horses in the country. I'm a little biased, as I am a big fan, but there is a very strong argument that he was the best horse in last year's Derby, and every other horse that got involved in the pace prematurely ran some very good subsequent r...

The Coen Brothers (Fargo, No Country for Old Men) wrote the screenplay for Unbroken and are involved in some directing.

Re: Southwest Stakes

But anyway, that's a complete digression. It's interesting to me that people take anyone's opinion about a race - and let's face it, that's all handicapping is, opinions - and feel the need to bash it or post with such bravado that they call people people morons for holding an opinion (as an aside,...

Re: Southwest Stakes

Love all the excuses for Strong Mandate and all the moronic posts about how to people should watch a race. I'm just going to go ahead and say that sentence is moronic. While you have a PhD in moronic, the fact is that statement is dead on. Strong Mandate is your typical overhyped horse. The better ...

Seabiscuit author gets movie for Unbroken

For those that do not know, Laura Hillenbrand of Seabiscuit fame actually wrote another brilliant book Unbroken. Angelina Jolie turning into a movie. Here is sort of the trailer they ran during Olympics. Brilliant book. Movie looks promising. Incredible story.

Re: Southwest Stakes

Love all the excuses for Strong Mandate and all the moronic posts about how to people should watch a race. Tapiture laughed at Strong Mandate who is this years overhyped horse. Horse looked like a first time starter in the stretch and all these absurd posters here saying he was the best horse in the...

Re: Southwest Stakes

A lot of "I" in your post. Here's what seems reasonable to take from the Southwest.....Tapiture has improved from two to three, not surprising, and can run a reasonably fast race under absolutely perfect conditions. Strong Mandate has also improved and is the best horse that ran in the race. Strong...

Re: FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH Stakes (G2)

I will not be shocked if the allowance race on the undercard or the Davona Dale winner runs a bigger number. There are some good ones in both those races. I can see Top Billing having troubles with the post and in a large field we will see how wide Commissioner has to go. But, I still see no major t...

Re: Southwest Stakes

I think the top 2 and maybe even the 3rd, Ride On Curlin are derby bound. I still am a skeptic when it comes to this group, although Tapiture and Strong Mandate are solid horses. Your a skeptic of every horse! What you are seeing in these Derby preps are horses that are your Derby crop. Unless some...
