Re: In memoriam 2020

Very sad about War Emblem - they said it was very uncommon for something like this to happen. But sounds like there is nothing they could have done even if they had been with him when it happened

Re: Bramlage's Mongolian Groom report

When I fractured ribs from my horse flipping over on me, nothing showed on the xrays. The healed fractures showed up on the xrays I needed 6 months later when I had another xray taken.

Re: California Chrome to Japan

OMG it's nuts on FB …. how he should have been retired from breeding and allowed to 'live out his life' … Yea okay, his new job is having a few girlfriends a day. I find it hard to believe he objects to that lol.

Re: Question about breakdowns

Do you mean the underlying reason for the treatment ? I don't know that any particular treatment could be linked to breakdowns.

Re: In memoriam 2018

I am so upset about the comments regarding the euthanasia of Soaring Empire on The Blood Horse article. I work on the farm and I saw this animal struggle with his blindness. It took 3 people 2 hrs to get him to walk from his paddock to into the barn because the horse refused to walk because he coul...

Re: Justify

I'd sure love to see him run in the Haskell but not if he isn't 110% right ... Hopefully this is nothing that a little R&R won't take care of. Maybe he will still make the Travers/Breeder's Cup

Re: How Much Does She Weigh?

Laying eyes on a horse will tell you more about if they are thriving or not than their actual weight. Horse A at 1000 lbs can look a heck of a lot different than Horse B at the same weight.

Re: Charismatic comes home

The post of FB by Vivian at Old Friends says that it appears he went very peacefully, there was no evidence of a struggle. Have you seen a horse that's ruptured? They lay there unable to get up. You can't even pull them up. Eventually they die. There wouldn't be a struggle. I watched a horse be eut...

Nyquist was very rank the first time by the grandstand. Reminded me a lot of the Preakness.

Re: This forum/site for sale

Victoria, I met you a 10 years or so ago when you put together a trip to Lexington and to Hot Springs ... I will never forget that trip as I met so many people who I remain friends with today. Actually I'm not sure if it was on this site on Rockportharbor. Anyway, thanks for all that you've done and...
