Fairyland, i/f to American Pharoah, sold for $700K to Clarkland Farm.
Today I learned that Coolmore owns (or owned?) two mares born in 2015 named Fairyland
The Irish Fairyland is a 2016 model. She's owned by John Magnier's mother, Evie Stockwell, and raced in her colors.

Re: Keeneland November 2019

Yes it was to dissolve a partnership but its still strange to see the mare sell for 1/2 her price of just a few years ago when she hasn't had a chance to produce anything yet. That might be WHY she sold for half what she did a few years ago. Sikura himself referred to the situation as a "half-baked...

Summer Wind went to $1.85 mil for Maximum Security's mom
This is as good a reversal of fortune as you'll see. Lil Indy sold for $11,000 deep into this same sale last year. Not to mention that she traveled to Korea, foaled and returned to the US within about 6 months.

So far... Summer Wind went to $1.85 mil for Maximum Security's mom, while his weanling full sister RNAd at $190k. Woodford TBs paid $750K for Laskarina, an unraced 1/2 sister to Justwhistledixie. She sold i/f/t Tapit. They also shelled out $650K for G2W Lucy N Ethel i/f/t Quality Road. The crooked L...

Hip 96-Belvoir Bay (Equiano) goes for $1,500,000
The bloodstock agent who signed for her wouldn't name his client, but did say she would retire to the shed and would remain in the US.

California Chrome's 1/2 brother, Fort McHenry (Tapit), got his maiden broken today at Gulfstream West, pretty easily.

Re: 2019 Fasig-Tipton November Sale

Just posted on Twitter by Bloom Racing, They are going to withdraw Midnight Bisou and race her another year :D :D :D :D Why not leave her in the sale with a ridiculously high reserve? I would guess they want to give her some well-deserved time off and not potentially stress her out and make her par...

They have some very nice stallions there, some of my old favorite racers. 8-) Pleasantly Perfect has to be getting up there in years now, yeah...? He's 21 now, so he is an older boy. Speaking of Turkey, Celikoglu Farm purchased the country's first Scat Daddy son, Tu Brutus (CHI) , to stand there in...

you could go crazy applying that to a very large number of stallions, though. they can't all be tapit.
I read her point to be more of the 'he's deserving of a chance' variety.
Yes. I wasn't implying he could have become a Tapit. Few are.

Re: Stallion News

New Year’s Day has arrived at Shadai Stallion Station this morning. https://shadai-ss.com/cms/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/A4_NYD_200.pdf Wow, he is much uglier than I realized. I really like his pedigree, though, and I hope he does well in Japan. I don't think the US market ever really gave him much...
