El Areeb

He got knocked off the Derby trail by injury, then tried to come back in April 2018, but after a good beginning was "tired, steadied, eased" finishing in last place. No further mention after that.

Re: FT Winter Mixed

Yeah, apparently a California Chrome filly was born at FT and entered the ring before she has had a chance to enter a pasture, and all the pics are celebrating it as though it is some great thing. I am happy that she seemed to be born with no complications, but seriously, the mare's last cover date...

I'm interested, I just have no idea. I recognize lots of names in the 5th gen tho so I'm not completely useless? Maybe?
Well, no luck here either. I guess I will just have to wait until you (or somebody else) comes up with the right answer or until Flanders gives us a hint.

Re: Pedigree game

Also interested, but likewise, no luck yet. But, not quite ready yet to give up. My guess is that - with luck - the answer can be found from certain very common sires NOT being represented.

How can you lose so much money without ever building yourself a safety net? If I'd owned AP I would have managed to live within my means! 'but of course the "smart" business people prefer to lose other people's money, don't they. . . .

Re: De Coronado in Libya?

Reading the full brother to Zenyatta was sold to Libya. Does anyone know anything about TB breeding and racing in that area? Any follow up after the sale on the condition of that beautiful horse and the people who care for him? Libya is in a war right now and has been for years. The racing industry...

Re: In Memoriam 2019

14 year old horse meat can't be good to eat-if food was the objective. I hope the night watchman is alive. That is my thought as well. If food had been the real objective, they would have gone after horses with more tender and tastier meat. There must be thousands of horses in Peru that meet those ...

Re: The greatness of a nation and its moral progress

The only way to stop this, is an automatic lifelong ban for every trainer/owner who sends their horse to an auction (unless approved), directly to a slaughterhouse, or through a middle man to send it to auction/slaughter house. Fines etc won't do anything. You still can't prevent things like this, ...

Re: Waiting for news on ...

In the 5th on Aug 31st at Assiniboia, Fried Pickles was a DNF: 'fractious in the gate, back early, faded, eased final turn'. I know she's just a $2500 claimer, but does anyone know her fate? There isn't a death report on file at the JC. That doesn't necessarily mean she's not dead.. Sometime ...

Chrome's best chance at a successful stud career may have just been made possible by Arrow Stud. 8-)
He's got a lot better chance of getting good mares over there, IMO as well.
