Coolmore 2020 stud fees: https://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/articles/236497/ashford-stud-releases-2020-stallion-fees No new stallions, feels like that is a first in a very long time. Maybe 2007 was the last time Ashford didn't have a new stallion. Pharoah's fee to be announced at a later time.

Re: Stallion News

I was wondering if Korean racing, like China, doesn't like horse names with any reference to war or violence. I've seen quite a few horses bought for Hong Kong racing that had their names changed because their original moniker had words like War, Battle, Revolt or Rebellion. IIRC, the War Front col...

Take Charge Indy has yet to leave Korea
Revolutionary has been renamed Regal Embrace in Korea
I think its an error in the studbook as there is a mare with the same import date as Revolutionary and her name is Regal Embrace. Her registration is also only 1 number different.

2yo/c Sunrise Leicester (Frankel x Adoration) will make his racing debut at Kyoto on Sunday. His dam (by Honor Grades) won the 2003 Breeders' Cup Distaff. This pretty chestnut will be ridden by Christophe Lemaire. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EHFffE8UcAAZfWw.jpg https://twitter.com/FrankelWatch13/st...

Re: Breeders Cup Discussion?

Can't wait to see the pre-entries tomorrow to see where horses are pointing since so many seemed to have been possible for numerous races.

I'm really interested to see if Magical comes and if they are going for the F/M Turf or the Turf.

Re: 2019 Breeders Cup Classic and Watch

Has it been confirmed Omaha Beach is retiring at the end of the year? I keep reading things that sound like he may race again, but I have been so busy with work and school I haven't had time to look it up. All parties seem to agree on the Pegasus being a goal. Mandella is publicly campaigning for a...

Neither were exported, gelded, or bred according to their Jockey Club pages.

Perhaps the owner retired them?

BH a few weeks late breaking the Bodemeister to Turkey story.
Yeah I know but I hadn't seen any American news outlet pick it up. It was only announced by Turkish news outlets that I saw.

Of course its illegal, it doesn't stop it from happening though. They are sent to rendering plants, which turns them into "usable" products. There was a recall of dog food last year because of sodium pentobarbital being in it. The FDA did a DNA test on numerous dog food brands years ago to see if th...

We understand that it's difficult to discard carcasses, but WAS it done legally? Either way, PETA will use this as further proof of the callousness of the industry. Mountaineer didn't even bother removing her racing bandages, which backfired on them when it made it possible to identify her. This wa...

Re: Santa Anita Autumn Meet

Just saw the article where Steve Knapp was fined for Emtech's blood coming back with an excessive amount of Bute in his last race at Del Mar. Surely, there is a faster way of getting these blood test results back, and if there is a positive on the first sample maybe the horse should not be allowed ...

Just saw Spendthrift's 2020 roster & fees...any word on what happened to Can the man?...it seemed like he was having a decent year. He has 2 SWs from 2 crops.
