Re: Stallion News

Data Link Pensioned From Stud Duty at Claiborne Farm https://www.paulickreport.com/news/bloodstock/data-link-pensioned-from-stud-duty-at-claiborne-farm/ I can’t remember- is this because he has not done well? Or, health reasons? Too bad. He hasn't done well at stud. I think its admirable that his o...

Never Retreat

Anybody know what happened to this mare? I know she was bred to both Kitten's Joy and War Front in 2012 for a 2013 foal and that's it. Nothing since. No death report, no foals, never bred again.

I guess she died and it wasn't reported?

Re: 2019 Belmont Stakes

Tracy Farmer has either luck or fate on his side. Both Sir Winston and his dam RNA'd when he tried to sell them, Sir Winston as a yearling and La Gran Bailadora as a weanling.

Re: Across the pond

3 for 3 with GSWs, 2 G1SWs. Her 4yo filly, My Sister Nat , a G3SW in France is currently training toward her US debut. Thanks for the update on My Sister Nat. I do really fancy that they have bred Starlet's Sister to different stallions; it seems she crosses well with just about everyone. Yeah. Her...

Ecurie Des Monceux's 2019 foals:

I was hoping I could copy and paste it here but it didn't look good.

This one stood out though.

Re: Across the pond

I think Zarkallani beat maybe one or two horses. They threw him in the deep end too soon. It would appear so. Sottsass was impressive though. And I hadn't realized he was the younger brother of Sistercharlie! What a nice producer Starlet's Sister has turned out to be. 3 for 3 with GSWs, 2 G1SWs. He...

Re: Zenyatta News

Do we know if Zenyatta was bred for a foal this year? I'm guessing not but thought perhaps her owners were kind of keeping things to themselves until everything was fine. Or not. Don't hear much anymore. Or at least not that I see. I've seen rumors only, one said she went to Candy Ride. Nothing off...

I didn't see this when i searched, apologies if her death was already listed. G1SW Aubby K . died in mid-March. Jane Lyon mentions her in the video and article: https://look.thoroughbreddailynews.com/jane-lyons-triple-crown-mares-at-summer-wind/ I wonder what happened? And I have not seen where thi...

Anthony Van Dyck fought his way through the pack of horses, found an opening on the rail, and fought hard to win.
For pedigree enthusiasts, he is descended from MG1SW November Snow, who I'm fairly sure was Storm Cat's first G1SW.

Re: Stallion News

Just discovered that Data Link is no longer on Claiborne's website and doesn't come up when you search for him on Blood Horse's stallion register. does that mean a sale is pending somewhere? id think he's much to young to be pensioned although I know occasionally it does happen because of sub ferti...

Re: Stallion News

Pensioned per the farm (Data Link). It seems not much interest toward Janneys' stallions. I have yet to hear if its lack of breeders or fertility issue. I know Parading was due to lack of interest. He got decent books of mares his first couple years, in 2018 he got less than 8 mares though. There i...

Re: Kelly Rubley et al

They can't win if they don't have horses to enter in the races. If you have 2 entries in 5 years that isn't good odds. How many female trainers have entered? I don't have time to look at hundreds of charts, I looked at 5 years. I would guess the average number of horses entered in the Triple Crown e...

Re: Kelly Rubley et al

They don't enter horses often and you can't win if you don't have a horse in the field. Between 2015 and yesterday's Preakness there were two horses entered trained by female trainers. Off the top of my head I can think of a few that have placed, Shelley Riley with Casual Lies(2nd KD), Nancy Alberts...

Re: 2019 Preakness Stakes

TIL... more questions tho; is this hereditary? can this cause additional uncoundness issues, like a horse w this being more likely to come back w soft tissue injuries or anything? They don't know what causes the type that is in the US which is Classic Stringhalt. They believe it is caused by trauma...
