Any links for tracking in Libya?
No. They have a webpage but its never gotten to the point of being able to track any horses. The horse racing authority was established in 2013 and then the country has been in a civil war since early 2014.

Crazy they anticipate him breeding 200 mares his first season..that's on par with Coolmore..there's no need..it's overbreeding
Spendthrift stallions are always in that range if they are popular. Into Mischief breeds around 250-ish every year.

Re: Report: Zayat Sued for $23 Million, Sold Shares in American Pharoah

So he sold AP for 23 millions... and shortly afterwards went to the bank to get a 25 million loan.... Even with his alleged gambling problem that makes no sense, why take out a loan if you just got 23 million bucks? And who in their right mind would give someone a loan that was already filing for b...

Re: Stallion News

i read that what EM had isn't hereditary so i'm not sure why she shouldn't be. it's possible i don't understand the RF very well (isn't it just a mare showing up more than once in the first 5 generations?). can you (or anyone else) explain why she's not a good candidate? ty in advance :) RF is a ma...

Re: New Conformation Photos

Rule # 1 of photography is "Don't have a telephone pole poking out of the subject's head!" Okay, the building posts aren't coming out of WF's head, but they're still distracting. B-a-a-a-d. They are better than the ones in front of the trees. But I agree everywhere they take conformation shots aren...

Re: Dot proposes rule to ban service mini horses from flights

As the ADA classes mini horses as service animals wouldn't airlines following these rules be subjected to discriminatory lawsuits? https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/peacocks-miniature-horses-cats-can-no-longer-fly-service-animals-n1120511 No because the DOT/DOJ are the ones who make the laws abo...

Re: Report: Zayat Sued for $23 Million, Sold Shares in American Pharoah

Crooked is as crooked does. Seriously, this guy must have one heck of a gambling problem. I remember Fifth Third suing him back in the day. I had (erroneously) thought that with Justin joining up things might calm down but evidently the Zayat's are kinda like the Mafia. (No offense to any Italians ...

Re: New Conformation Photos

I've never found War Front to be very attractive, but dang, he sires some good-looking offspring. 8-) I don't think it's really War Front that's the issue, it's that they can't really take a good picture. Not saying that War Front is a supermodel of course, but he'd probably look much bette...

Re: Report: Zayat Sued for $23 Million, Sold Shares in American Pharoah

They also have got some foals and IIRC are expecting a few this year. So Ahmed sold some of his shares in AP (and other boys) quietly without the others and Coolmore knowing , possibly even microshares? Were the buyers under the impression it was a legitimate sale, or do we know yet? And he also so...

Re: Report: Zayat Sued for $23 Million, Sold Shares in American Pharoah

Pharoah may have been the horse that caused them to catch him but there's rumors that Pharoah isn't the only horse he sold shares of..and would the buyers who bought the shares be considered innocent parties in this? And as majority owners, I can't imagine shares of Pharoah being secretly sold off ...

Re: Horrible Names For Horses

Ran across an article on how Hoppertunity got his name. His name before it was changed was terrible. Also the article says Baffert convinced Aaron and Marie Jones not to name Forestry, Seneca MJ. https://www.courier-journal.com/story/sports/horses/triple/derby/2014/04/24/kentucky-derby-baffert-re-na...

I imagine it would depend where he was stabled. While it may be required at a racetrack, if he was at Palm Meadows Training Center, who knows.

Free Drop Billy sired his first foal, a filly out of Sweet Diva (by Purim). She was born on January 19th. The filly is a flashy chestnut, like her sire and dam. There is a picture at the link but as it has a copyright, I won't share it here. https://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/articles/238060/f...
