Re: Kelly Rubley et al

They can't win if they don't have horses to enter in the races. If you have 2 entries in 5 years that isn't good odds. How many female trainers have entered? I don't have time to look at hundreds of charts, I looked at 5 years. I would guess the average number of horses entered in the Triple Crown e...

Re: Kelly Rubley et al

They don't enter horses often and you can't win if you don't have a horse in the field. Between 2015 and yesterday's Preakness there were two horses entered trained by female trainers. Off the top of my head I can think of a few that have placed, Shelley Riley with Casual Lies(2nd KD), Nancy Alberts...

Re: 2019 Preakness Stakes

TIL... more questions tho; is this hereditary? can this cause additional uncoundness issues, like a horse w this being more likely to come back w soft tissue injuries or anything? They don't know what causes the type that is in the US which is Classic Stringhalt. They believe it is caused by trauma...

Re: 2019 Preakness Stakes

Get the damn Jockey off of him, is nobody else noticing. Actually... he looks a bit better now. Maybe he was just cramping up a bit. Edit to say: nope! Still lame. Jesus christ... he is moving his right hind in a circle instead of straight forward. Ahh he isn't off. He is the horse that has...

Any reports on Medomak?

Dam of Keen Ice, and he's her only registered foal on PQ.
She was exported to Saudi Arabia but she died before producing any other foals.

Matterhorn is at stud in Uruguay. http://www.oriberemates.com/ (same farm as Smarty Jones) Top Billing , I'm having a hard time finding. I tried Australia, Japan, South Africa, South America and Turkey's stud book, the Elturf stallion search, Wetherbys stallion directory, Bloodhorse stallion direct...

Re: Black Thoroughbreds

Was browsing stud sites and I found this 2018 Aussie-bred filly. Her sire is Redwood , who is registered brown but looks dark bay. Dam is G1 winner Royal Descent (Redoute's Choice), who is also registered brown but looks dark bay or even black. The mare seen behind the filly in one of the pictures ...

http://www.changingleadsequinerescue.org/our-horses/ this one?

It doesn't look like their webpage has been updated recently as the one horse I clicked on, the Youtube video was from 2016. However, their Facebook page seems up to date.

It could be that there is something wrong, it could be they are trying to get rid of her, it could be that they realized she needed easier competition.

Re: horses with unique coloring/facial markings

Hau Nani won again last weekend. Those white Japanese horses sure can run. They are bred to race unlike most of the white Thoroughbreds in the US, which are just bred to be white. The Patchen Wilkes white horses are bred to race but their pedigrees aren't on the levels of that Japanese family of wh...

Did I miss where it was reported who sold the poor creatures to the slaughter company to begin with?
I don't think these kill auctions release that type of information.
