Re: Saturday Gulfstream Watchalong

Current ran his eyeball out. Rank early and then the jockey got him to settle, but down the backstretch it almost looked like he lost the left rein for a second (?) and it set him off again. Then Zulu Alpha came calling pretty early and he had no option rather than to race that one to the wire. Foug...

Florida is probably going to start seeing their case numbers rise in another week or two, especially since their Governor was basically shamed into closing the beaches and would have left them open.
Yup, Louisiana is now paying for their negligence.

I say if you're not personally impacted why not try live and let live rather than playing cop who knows everything?
This is amazingly naïve or obtuse. Your choice of idioms is amazingly ironic.

Re: Kentucky Derby and the Coronavirus

Thanks, Tessa! I'm mostly drive by posting these days, and often dangerously late at night, LOL. (An indirect apology for not following up on other threads  ) There are posters on this board that will be affected one way or another by this, just want to help in any small way possible. Gone hik...

Re: What Race Got You Into This?

As children, Dad would take us to the library every Thursday night (thanks Dad for that life lesson!). I still remember the great anticipation of the opening a large library branch a mile or 2 from our home when I was about 10. The day they opened, I pulled my red wagon there and checked out every h...

Re: Kentucky Derby and the Coronavirus

I've made my own sanitizer to carry in my purse, using an approx. 3-1 mix of alcohol and distilled water in a small, mostly empty Purel bottle. I splash it on my hands and soak wipes that I carry in the car. If a store no longer has sanitizing wipes ( which is often now) , I use my own soaked wipes...

Re: Kentucky Derby and the Coronavirus

Also, I was going to share a tip I learned the other night. If you mix equal parts aloe and alcohol, it is a good substitute for hand sanitizer. The person who told me this did not specify what kind of alcohol, but I'm sure any type of medical alcohol would work. This is incorrect and it is importa...

Re: Michael Dubb must resign from the NYRA Board

I guess all bad people need their Goebbels to spread their lies and protect them. I love horses. I've owned, trained, and bred them over a period of 30 years. And I am not without conflict in even the very small degree of participation I now have in this sport. But to elicit an analogy to Nazi Germ...

Hand washing with soap for at least 30 secs a couple of times daily, no touching your face and avoiding people helps prevent the spread.
A couple of times daily?? Clearly, you do not live in Seattle! :D

Otherwise, great news for chat boards!!

Your guess seems to be right. Not sure if this still is news to to you, but off the internet today: http://acs.medivetequine.com/julyconf This is probably a biologic therapeutic more commonly known as IRAP (IL-1 Receptor Agonist Protein). IRAP is legit and depending on the individual circumstances ...

Re: FBI raid at Calder

MyLute - I was alluding to the "collateral damage" issue of these types of things. Of course, jocks get on horses all the time that have severely degenerated joints, etc., and they know it, cuz that's what they have to do to make a living. But some jocks have more choices than others. It certainly g...

Acted up at the starting gate and was scratched by the stewards after tossing the rider.
That's a shame. I wonder when they will wheel him back.
He’s running in the next race at Gulfstream, a 6f AOC on the dirt. Currently 1/9.
Well that was easy peasy. As it should have been. . .
