Speaking of Union Rags....

His now 3YO half brother by Tapit (o/o Serena's Cat) ran last Saturday in a MSW at Fair Grounds. Race 3, if you want to go looking for the replay.

Finished next to last and didn't seem to do much.
Serena's Cat is the dam of Honor Code.

Do people still take her seriously?
I certainly hope law enforcement will if there's complicity.

Sparky Ville (by @LanesEndFarms Candy Ride out of Storm Cat mare) upsets Bob Baffert-trained duo Dessman (2nd) and Coliseum (3-5 favorite, 3rd) to win G2 San Vicente at @santaanitapark at 7-1 odds for trainer Jeff Bonde on very wet track.

Re: Santa Anita 2019

We've had many horses over the years that we would not run on a sealed/muddy track. It's not uncommon that horses have small niggling things that are managed by being careful about the track conditions when they are raced or trained. I'm doubting this Lym guy knows much about training or managing r...

Regardless of what you say about the race, Not That Brady (Big Brown/Lisa's Booby Trap) was game as hell in the Withers.

Re: 2019 Pegasus World Cup

People get so out of sorts when 3yo’s get retired and whisked off to stud. Many if those aren’t likely to move up anyway. What would City of Light look like if they went on with him? With maturity, maybe he could get 10f. He’s been fun to watch. City of Light is five. This is not a three-year-old b...

Re: 2019 Fillies + Mares

Although the thoroughbred industry calls the person who owns the mare at the time of foaling the "breeder" of the foal, I'm not quite sure I think that is fair. Regardless, Kendall Hansen must be kicking himself now and again for selling Drumette in foal to Tapizar = Monomoy Girl. . .

I really tried to take the high road recently, you just insist on bringing ME back down to personal issues and not the horses, shame.
I fixed it for you.

You do have the option of not giving TA power over your behavior (which has nothing to do with him).

Re: Older Horses - 2019

Not sure I understand why a horse happily galloping around in the paddock doesn't qualify for retraining for a second career (a not sound horse should be retired - period) vs. goes back to track.

I always liked this horse, he's out of Tepin's dam.

Heart to Heart loses photo for 2nd in a hard luck 3rd in Tropical Park Turf. Mr. Freeze, breaking to his inside, caused problems in the gate and H t H had a lunging start which left him mid pack after Mr. Freeze then carried him out to the middle of the track on the first turn. Swung to the outside ...

Beautiful hip and shoulder on that filly. On a side note, Lisa's Booby Trap sire, Drewman, is a half to Lucky Pulpit, Chrome's sire.

That MSW gave Mike Smith his other win on yesterday's card, aboard Big Scott Daddy , a colt by Scat Daddy out of Last Song ( Unbridled's Song ). Could a colt from SD's last crop be a potential st...
