Re: 2017 Pimlico Special H. (G3)

I'm so hoping one day this will be back at Gr.1 status. It drew some really good horses in the past. This is one of the better fields we've seen in a while. I'm rooting for Noble Bird. But I also like Shaman Ghost and Bodhisattva.

Re: Ben's Cat

Ben's Cat finished 5th---time to retire him--he's done enough While I do agree, if he were mine I would've retired him last year. But, I was there for the race in which he ran 5th. He was beaten by less than a length. When horses passed him he rallied. He was covered up and of all the races I've se...

Re: TV Discussion Thread

I'm a bit behind on Once Upon a Time , but um... these characters are NOT returning next season? So basically, the whole focus of the show? Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) Henry (Jared Gilmore) Belle (Emilie de Ravin) Zelena (Rebecca Mader) ...

Re: Cameras and the Haskell (advice needed on how to proceed

They really clamped down after American Pharoah. Normally I didn't have a credential but the last two years I have because of this. Of course I don't always have one but I'm not sure what I would do otherwise. Probably not go at all.

Going to bump this for you. Man that is a super great deal. Do you have parking passes? I can't buy them but it would be good to know to a potential buyer if you have parking or just tickets for the seats.

Re: Pimlico's shortened meet opens Thursday

I'm looking forward to Black Eyed Susan day but to be honest I hate the shortened dates at Pimlico. Stronach has put all the money into Laurel which looks wonderful and I understand why but honestly I miss being able to hop on I83 and be at the track in 20 minutes. Since I'm working most days I can'...

Post-race comments from trainers and jocks at the link. ( I think the winner was clearly the best today and would have been so under any circumstances, but am looking forward to a smaller field and a dry track.) https://www.americasbestracing.net/the-sport/2017-post-race-comments-2017-kentucky-derb...

Re: 2017 Kentucky Derby Watch Party

As for Thunder Snow it could've been, the roar of the crowd when the gates opened. Which I'm sure he is not used to. But I think it was more of the mud splashing on him and in his face which he has never had before.

What I've seen of it I also am enjoying it. I ran to work to let out and feed dogs in the kennel and ran back. Glad I can bet the Woodford Reserve in which I've bet all the kittens.

Re: 2017 Kentucky Derby Watch Party

My 10 year old nephew has picked Thunder Snow (IRE) to win the KY Derby. He said that it reminds him of The Flash and Killer Frost. The Flash has lightning (thunder accompanies it) and Snow for Caitlin Snow. My comic fans will love this reasoning.

It is. I loved his sire. Such a wonderful turf horse. It's nice to see him get some nice horses.

Going to take Paulassilverlining in the Humana Distaff.

That turf course drains well. I'm sure if it was pouring like it was yesterday it would've come off. I hope it remains pretty out. Nothing worse than having to work 2 days in cold and rain. I'm thinking of my friends out there photographing all of this.
