Re: Take Charge Lady

Well.. this farm is a big named one. Does anyone have access to Jockey Club to see if death report was filed? I would be shocked if he lied, he is one of the main people working at the farm. He had a sad looking face when I asked about her. Edit. I shot him an email to double confirm to be sure i re...

Re: Take Charge Lady

Yes, she passed (i assume euthanized).. she had a back injury, or problem with her back. The guy said due to old age (would have been 20 this yr) Couldnt get up or go down easily.... Im surprised it wasnt announced at all esp shes a famous mare... not like Zenyatta, but in her right. Isnt she owned ...

Re: Take Charge Lady

Found out she wasnt bred for a 2019 foal, but she passed on November of 2018.

Was so sad when I found out when i went to a farm and by chance asked if they happened to have her.

Their cemetery definitely had got more filled since I last saw it when Personal Ensign and Narrate have yet to get their headstones. Per a website showing the graves, I saw a stone mentioning Ltatis Unis. She is buried near Yell in the back behind Personal Ensign. Who is the horse? Couldn't find her...

Re: Halters

Aaaaaah that explains it! Thanks for the info, although I most likely can't afford them at the moment, I was curious about it. :D Shacklefords looks really worn and not one of those "keep it on for a few minutes then sell it" deal. I agree! It sound like the person who owned the collection, Clare N...

Halters

There is a massive halter collection going up for sale on ebay, privately or at Heritage auction due to death of a person . I found out that Ruffian and Alydar's will be at Heritage auction in April. I imagine them going probably 15k for Ruffian's. Far in between of finding one since she died young....

Re: Versus

I think Fager takes it, he does match up well with Slew but I don't see anyone beating him if he has the lead. I might give Slew an edge if its over a mile but Fager is next to invisible in that mile distance. Ruffian vs Dr Fager, 1 1/4 mile on dirt at Belmont. Fast track. THIS one is going to be a ...

Re: 2018 List of Mares Bred

War Front only had 82 mares- wonder if there was interruption during his 2018 breeding like there was for Super Ninety Nine. Glad to see Captain Bodgit still get some action :) FuPeg only 4.... and I am shocked Coolmore still has him. is there a clause that forbids his transfer/sale to different farm?

Re: 2018 Keeneland November Sale

Was surprised to see I Want Revenge listed, same goes for Morse Code and Japan. I wonder who will get Lady Eli- she is a mean mare and apparently hard to handle. Tough to catch in the pasture so she is in the round pen when I was at HnD recently. It sort of sound like she might be the next Preach at...

Re: Stallion News

Normandy is now in KY- I saw him a couple of weeks ago and was told he is to start breeding there in the next upcoming season Huh. Didn’t see anything about that posted anywhere. He’s been based at Keane since he retired. I guess that means he has enough interest to warrant the move, which is good ...
