Re: The rise of Sunday Silence

I had forgotten to mention the 28th daughter of Sunday Silence to produce one or more G1 winners worldwide after Fusaichi Pandora(JPN), dam of Almond Eye(JPN), who was the 27th. She is Bella Sunday (AUS), 2000M. Sunday Silence(USA) x Singles Bar(AUS) by Rorys Jester(AUS). Her daughter Oohood (AUS),...

Re: horses with unique coloring/facial markings

From Jess Samy’s Twitter account: Interesting marking on the Frankel x Stormfly filly ! https://pbs.twimg.com/media/D0v_4bWW0AAkLEi?format=jpg&name=small She looks like a yearling and, if so, I'm sure her current awkward angles will smooth out as she continues to develop. But for now, suffice it to...

Beach Patrol is gorgeous!
Quite a stunner. At least from what we can see in those photos, everything about him is correct.

Town & Country Farms @TownCountryFarm 6h6 hours ago It's been a busy week at Town & Country! Filly by Biz the Nurse in Italy. She is being bottle fed because the dam passed away shortly after she was born. Dam's name is "Velocissima" I think.

Poor little one. I hope they find a nurse mare for her.

Re: 2019 Foals

It was a long shot from the beginning...under 300 days gestation just isn't long enough...DoDad was too premature. I posted the Tweet above from Anchor&HopeStallions about the dummy foal because sometimes these sorts of things turn out okay but, sadly, sometimes they don't. Sorry I posted about him...

Anchor&HopeStallions @louismerryman 3h3 hours ago This dude is 10 days old. This is his first day out. Based on my experience, he should not be with us. I have never had a red bag, septic, dummy foal get as far down as him and bounce back. My wife and my vet have informed me that I'm not allowed to...

I saw a pick of Nodouble (USA) today on twitter. I knew that he was the sire of Mairzy Doates (USA), the winner of the inaugural runnning of the Japan Cup in 1981. She is one of my all-time favorites. But this is the first time I come acorss a pick of her sire Nodouble. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/...

@Tachyon, I came across this on Facebook. Do I understand it correctly? Ginger Punch was bred to Chrome and she had a filly? I thought Ginger Punch was in Japan. Was she shipped back here to be bred to Chrome? If so, I'm delighted a mare of her quality was bred to him. Chrome has been receiving som...

Heart's Cry (Shadai) with a really good look at that Halo eye. He seems pretty kind, though. 8-)
I like the way Heart's Cry's forelock is parted in the middle. Very fashionable. :)

Re: 2019 Pegasus World Cup

Early excellence is absolute excellence and extreme excellence. Nonsense! The history of horse racing is chock full of both types of champions -- horses who were early bloomers and late bloomers. Do the names John Henry, Forego and Cigar mean anything to you? They are only two examples of the late ...

Congratulations on the sport for getting this correct. It was the single greatest litmus test in the 50 years I have followed this sport. In fact, there would have been little reason to continue to follow thoroughbred racing if this decision had been butchered. That's the way I looked at it. It wou...

William Nicks bought Make Music For Me for...$1,000 at Keeneland January.
Except for horses with elite pedigrees and/or racing or producing records, the prices were very low at Keeneland January this year.
