Re: R.I.P. King Kamehameha

Tachyon: Deepest condolences to you and to all racing fans in Japan (and indeed, racing fans everywhere). To lose Deep Impact and now King Kamehameha in such a short period of time is heartbreaking and a huge loss for the sport. They will both be greatly missed. Thank you. It's a very sad day. Both...

Re: Waiting for news on ...

"Collapsed" and "failed to fully revive" sounds like either some sort of cardiac event or extreme reaction to the very warm day. I saw a lot of horses being vigorously hosed down as soon as their saddles came off, so I wonder if heat and/or humidity were factors. :( I saw a tweet quoting the vet th...

Re: Horse is SUING abusive owner

I read about this and am upset over it. If this becomes a regular practice. No one will own horses or sell them . Everyone has a different definition on the word abuse or neglect. Its opening a can of worms that i believe will harm horses in the long run. Im trying to look at the big picture. This ...

Re: Siblings (and offspring) of well-known horses

I don't think this has been posted here already... Golden Julia (Dreaming of Julia '17) died on the 30th May. She was found distressed in her stall at Saratoga, sent to a vet clinic but died there of acute blood loss (per NYS reports) :( :( Accuse blood loss? WTH? Someone didn’t pay attention. Poor...

Tattoo Molly was not saved and was shipped to slaughter this morning.
Airdrie owned her and allowed this to happen?

Re: In Memoriam 2019

Tattoo Molly, by Cuvee was shipped to slaughter early this morning. I hope her death is quick. There was an effort to save her, which was unsuccessful. She was a pretty bay lady, with white socks. She was a sweet, willing girl who could have had a second career. I want to vomit when I read this hor...

Re: Honestly Honey

Heritage Sale is a kill sale sadly I feel horribly naive, I had no idea there was a sale where farms openly dumped broodmares without a reserve knowing they would be at risk for slaughter. Kory Pierson was the top buyer at the sale, buying 16 horses, $500 each - 14 of them broodmares (in addition t...

Re: The WAR HORSE Chronicles

11 year old Coraline broke down in race 3 at Thistledown today. 😥 So sorry to hear this. She was a fixture in the area for a long time. I was hopeful that she had been retired after last year, but then noticed she had been brought back to Thistledown last month. RIP Coraline . Coraline , 11yo bay m...

I didn't see this when i searched, apologies if her death was already listed. I wonder what happened? And I have not seen where this was mentioned. G1SW Aubby K . died in mid-March. Jane Lyon mentions her in the video and article: https://look.thoroughbreddailynews.com/jane-lyons-triple-crown-mares...

Cat Three B a 2yo bay colt suffered a compound fracture while pulling up on the backstretch of the Fasig-Tipton Mid-Atlantic sale in Timonium. And of course not a word about this death, that I saw. 3 horses died at local tracks near me yesterday. Soroa at Thistledown, and Lil’l allstar and Laser Lynn at Mountaineer. Rip to all.
Not even six mos into year and the bodies are piling up. RIP.

Maximum Security's dam was brought back from Korea with the full brother. Colt was foaled in Korea.

Not sure if she was bought back or if the owners in Korea brought her back over here for breeding.
Hope she is back for good.

Re: Korea Breeding

Not a very flattering expose out of Korea. If you were wondering where several imported horses ended up..... including 2 yr old sales purchases... Among his Ocala class, now four years old, Ace King wasn’t alone. Of the 50 bought at that auction that were sent to Korea—one stayed in the States to r...

Horses sent to Korea-what happens to them

I know PETA is extremely controversial in the industry. But sometimes they have exposed what we all fear-brutal abuse of our horses. This time it is the horrors of US horses and the largest slaughter house in Korea. If you dare. https://investigations.peta.org/south-korea-horse-slaughter/?utm_source...

Anyone know why Frivolous and colt have not left their stall?
Has she not gone out since she foaled? If not there are some reasons. It very well could be the colt has broken ribs
Thank you.
