Re: 2019 Three-Year-Olds

Well Baffert did dupe some people last year by talking up Justify going to Sunland while hoping that first level allowance would go the day after the San Felipe. I think Baffert thinks he’s got three fianalists for the Louisville Shuttle and as you say, to quote The Offspring, when Baffert’s 3yo’s ...

Re: 2019 Three-Year-Olds

There appears to be some form of brinkmanship going on with the Baffert and Hollendorfer barns. Baffert is talking about running both Game Winner and Improbable in the San Felipe despite his well established track record of keeping his good horses separated. It could be that Baffert is just running ...

Cal Cup is worth checking out today to see if Galilean can continue following the script. Unclo Mo - Fresia by Sadlers Wells. Fresia was 0-10 in her race career. Re: Baffert's Most Talented Trainee

Not intending to hijack the thread as I do find it interesting, what if we try a different trainer, is it any easier to pick the most talented in the barn? English Channel Horse $5,319,028 Ashado Mare $3,931,440 Stopchargingmaria Mare $3,014,000 Honey Ryder Mare $2,879,200 Palace Malice Horse $2,69...

Hoppertunity because he raced past six months and past three, teehee. Then it would be Game On Dude who ran one of the best races you will ever see in the 2014 Big Cap at age 7. American Pharoah ran progressively better races throughout the Triple Crown series and then ran the best race of his life...

Re: 2019 Three-Year-Olds

Sparky Ville was a good bet today with Rosario up. He gave Mucho Gusto a good test in the Bob Hope. He was also dusted by ten lengths by Instagrand in the Best Pal. He's a good horse but not really a Derby prospect. But nothing in here was.

Re: 2019 Three-Year-Olds

Out of the Baffert barn I like Improbable the most. Of the maidens it's close between Omaha Beach and Nolo Contesto. Personally I like Omaha Beach. Hidden Scroll was brilliant in his debut but I still really don't like the lack of experience no matter what happened last year. His trainer is an all t...

I like Madison's Luna in the Woody Stevens; Will appreciate not running in swamp this time. Bolt in the Met; Will appreciate not running in a swamp this time. Sadler's Joy in the Manhattan; shortening up to 1 1/4. A Raving Beauty in the Just A Game; 2nd timer CB in the States. Should move forward ag...

Re: Early Belmont race prediction.

I like Tenfold for the win. Noble Indy and Justify hanging in there but getting nosed out for 2nd by Hofburg. Maybe about 3 lengths between 1st to 4th. Final time in 2:29.16. Probably sprinkling slightly as the winner comes back to the grandstand.

No Ands, buts, or... ifs about it.

Re: MLB - 2018

Dodgers are going to have to start utilizing some of those talented young arms they never want to trade away. 21 year Caleb Ferguson who has been un-hittable in Oklahoma at least will start against the Pirates tonight. Walker Buehler, 23, already solidly in the rotation. Agree! Serious question.......

Re: Justify

Interesting to hear former jockey now XBTV commentator Rich Migliore comment on one of their segments that he thought that Hofburg was the horse to beat, and that Justify might have trouble with the mile and a half and the deep sandy track at Belmont. Said he would be watching closely to see how he...

Re: Belmont Stakes News & Notes - 2018

Hofburg at 9-2 doesn't interest me at all. He's extremely likely to hit the board though. Tenfold could improve again and I like how he came out of the Preakness. I am leaning his way. And Bravaso will run well. I kind of like Noble Indy to bet across the board. Some kind of 4 horse tri box could p...

Re: Belmont Stakes News & Notes - 2018

The 1 post allows them to race ride and try to lock Justify up inside and behind. Like they did with Chrome in 2014. I'm sure Baffert would have preferred an outside draw. I really don't see anyone near him that has the early speed to pull that off. Although I wouldn't have thought Commissioner woul...
