Re: Copenhagen Zoo kills healthy young giraffe

^Now I definitely have a problem with the putting-down of endangered animals. If I wasn't so lazy I would go look up the article title, but in America's Best Scientific Reading of this year there was some article about how there's this panel that basically judges which endangered species gets fundi...

Re: Female involvement and this sport

I see tons of women at Del Mar, Keeneland, and Saratoga (yes I am looking for them). And I see quite a few very good women handicappers on TV. Plenty of women exercising horses in am too. However, the track on most days is for degenerates and old men.. I've not been to Del Mar, but Saratoga isn't a...

Re: Copenhagen Zoo kills healthy young giraffe

I tend to trust the opinions of people that work in a profession over my own opinion, even though I am usually much brighter, but these "experts" at the zoo are idiots. Animals eat other animals in the wild. Baby giraffes and other animals are eaten by predators all the time. However, killing a gira...

Re: Donn Handicap (G1)

The track was NOT sealed according to Caton Bredar, who knows her stuff. It is possible she is mistaken, but the chart does not mention it either. That said, someone I trust texted me it was sealed. If it was sealed the chart should note it, just for credibility. Handicappers have every right to hon...

Re: Donn Handicap (G1)

Lea broke Quality Roads Track Record in finishing the 9F in an incredible 1:46.86. QualityRoad broke it in the Donn in 2010. That time was 1:47:49 and he received a BSF of 121.... Expect a BSF for Lea 117 and Will Take Charge in the BSF 112.... If the track was sealed shortly before the race, the t...

Re: "I Like a Horse..."

I know this isn't the best handicapping skill but I'll play most anything Graham Motion has out, especially on the grass. I always liked playing the trainer angle. I picked Animal Kingdom to win the 2011 Kentucky Derby because of this, not because I'm smart. He is a great trainer to bet at a price....

Re: Donn Handicap (G1)

Oh Andy...he has readjusted Revolutionary's Beyers last Beyer back to a 103. Really, weeks later right before he runs again? The more interesting thing I think is that it gives the longshot (Viramundo) a 100 Beyer in his last race now. Bad form to change this fig this much after the race. If the tr...

Re: Donn Handicap (G1)

I just looked at Lea on TB Pedigree and noticed that he has been owned by Caliborne and Adele D. and was running on turf. Now he is running on dirt and is trained by Mott. Was he sold? Perhaps it is too bad that they did not try him on dirt sooner, but since he has a turf pedigree and was a GSW on ...

Re: Donn Handicap (G1)

It just proves that Wise Dan has, in fact, beat a good horse. It also proves that some horses do better at certain distances and certain surfaces. Apples to oranges is exactly my point when people don't like turf horses being voted HOY against dirt horses. Nice win by a nice horse today. Good night...

Re: Donn Handicap (G1)

Lea wins. No shocker there. WTC ran great. Revolutionary sadly is just not that good, as many had thought.

Re: Donn Handicap (G1)

Thanks. Revolutionary is quite the mudder and from what I recall WTC doesn't seem to fancy it very much. Think that might compromise his chances a bit. Also never been a fan of Bernardini as a sire, but his offspring tend to be mudlarks as well. Maybe Romansh might be a good play here? What does mu...

Took the River at 7-1 for the win with a few on Romansh-All, All-Romansh. There is no value with top 2. I left off Lea even though a value.

Re: "I Like a Horse..."

I bet a small fortune across the board on Boisterous. Like the barn switch and he is a great value here at 10-1. Relying on jock to overcome post.
