Gate to wire... ho hum.
I was rooting for Avie’s Flatter and Desert Ride. Both ran good, but the ole speed won.

Re: The greatness of a nation and its moral progress

What a total idiot. If the feed you have isn’t “nourishing” them or they don’t want to eat... you get different feed.
You don’t keep 40 horses if you can’t care for them.
They cannot decide if they should press charges???? That’s infuriating.

Re: 2019 Three-Year-Olds

Is that the first time Maximum Security was pressured/eyeballed by another horse?
I’d say he needed the race, but also if he had never had another horse dog him, maybe he needed to know what that’s like?

Have just been informed by owner Ralph Evans that multiple Grade 1 winner Diversify has been retired after coming out of his work yesterday at Belmont Park with a suspensory injury.
Bummer! He was fun.

Re: 2019 Belmont Stakes

So the 2019 TC saw two winners with juvenile seasons based in Canada. War of Will was second in the Summer Stakes. Sir Winston won the Display Stakes and hit the board in the Grey Stakes. They're both Mark Casse trainees of course but it is still very neat. That is cool, but perhaps it signals a cr...

Finally got a replay and checked some conversations online, and I'm really surprised by the lack of love I'm seeing for Mitole. Yeah, McKinzie didn't have room to run in the stretch, but he also saved ground along a good rail while rating off of a brutal pace. Mitole set that pace while contesting ...

Desert Ride won the Canadian Oaks today for Sam-Son Farm. Her 2nd dam is Canadian champ Eye of the Sphynx.
Which makes Queen's Plate winner Eye of the Leopard her uncle.
And GSW Deceptive Vision her aunt. Lovely family. Desert Ride looks like a very good one for them!

Yet another outstanding victory. Are there any better horses in training than the ones we're seeing today?
Today’s winners for the most part are the leaders of their division... aside from Sir Winston. 3-year-old boys are anyone’s guess. Is Omaha Beach ever coming back?
