Re: Stallion News

What... a bizarre and heartbreaking scenario. I also noticed that Cyrus Alexander was half to Super Saver. Such a loss. Condolences to the connections of the farm, stallions, and the night watchman who was murdered as well.

Re: Stallion News

I remember watching this video in July about the new stallion barn they had built for the 2019 season https://www.facebook.com/100328186684492/videos/374986096472602/ To think that half the occupants are now gone, all in different and tragic ways... it's going to take a while for them to bounce back...

Re: Stronach v. Stronach

A Paulick article a few years ago talked about most of the racing at Hialeah being unsanctioned quarter horse match races. And I thought it was interesting that Stronach wanted to move the Preakness to Laurel because Pimlico is in such bad shape and would "cost too much to fix" yet dumped millions ...

When it reaches over 100 degrees in Australia, do they cancel racing for safety?

thanks.
From what I've seen lately, they've been moving post times up earlier in the day to avoid running at the hottest point in the afternoon.

It was a mistake that happened because she was served unlabelled tea at a hotel. She feels horrible enough about it already.

I only started really paying attention in 2011, but Sea the Stars (I know his all time great season was in 2009).

Hey guys, he's gotten a little older now so why don't we whip out our Canon and take a new confo shot of Airoforce ? Nah, let's just photoshop the crappy pic we took of him a couple years ago into a grassy background. https://cdn.bloodhorse.com/sroimages//medium/0000170104_1.jpg https://www.bloodho...

Re: 2019 Pegasus World Cup

With the pretty major changes that have been made to the race each year of its running, what are the odds that 2020 is the last running of the Pegasus :? Or maybe (definitely) this $3,000,000 purse is a concrete and sustainable model for at least a couple years.

Godolphin's Greentree Stables is based next to Saratoga Racecourse... I wonder how that will affect McLaughlin's use of the facility.

Owned by Godolphin? They've been big on the historical Dame names for their European and American fillies lately.

Re: 2018 names

Question -- how long do owners have to change a name? They can change it up until a horse races. In extremely rare cases, a horse's name is changed after racing. For example, the 2YO now known as Scabbard was originally named Noose. After his first 2 starts, I guess someone pointed out the bad conn...

Are you trying to say that there isn't a market for a stallion whose last result was 7th in an Allowance Optional Claimer?!

is it a hot take to say that Declaration of War is the most underrated young sire potentially in the world? Graded/group winners in multiple continents, over dirt and turf, from a juvenile winner over dirt in America to the Melbourne Cup winner.

His 1/2 brother by Tapit seems to be doing quite well as. 2 year old and is entered in a stakes race Saturday. Funny for those who poo-poo his family, or lack thereof, his little 1/2 brother impressed Coolmore enough to go to 1.1 million to purchase him and now he is having quite a nice 2 year old ...
