Love to see them starting off the year right, and over a off track to boot. He's been a fairly consistent horse.

Re: Coat Colors in Foreign Languages

Would anyone have information on common coat colors in foreign languages and their translations into English? I'm trying to figure out what the abbreviations might be, too. We have 'b' for 'bay' and 'ch' for chestnut, and 'blk' for black, and so on. That kind of thing in another language can be ver...

Re: Artie Schiller

Brisnet's free 105E pedigree report usually lists more details, like where the horse was exported to. For Artie, it says he was exported to Australia in 2017 (and every year since 2011). It doesn't list returns, but if JC doesn't have it on file, then he's most likely still in Australia. Unless he ...

Re: New Conformation Photos

I've become a huge fan of the late Scat Daddy and his offspring, but..... IMO, Tu Brutus is not one of his better-looking sons. I agree. I don't know what it is about him, but I'm just not a big fan. Perhaps it's just the odd juxtaposition between the large stallion and the seemingly very short fen...

Re: When choosing a mare...TrueNicks or conformation?

Speaking from a boundless amount of no experience as a bloodstock agent :P, I think I'd go with the C+ mare with the best conformation. As I understand it, a TrueNicks rating creates stats by pooling results from a bunch of mares of a certain bloodline who have been bred to this stallion or his blo...

Anyone want to guess when the first TB appears? Hoping for all safe births, now the sleepless nights begins for broodie managers and foal crews all over KY as well as other places. Maybe 1/4/18? I'm quite sure the first have already appeared. When they will be announced is a different story. ;) Yea...

Thanks.
No, it just lists that it was done. I always thought that it should be dated, as well as which country they are exported. They do date a Death report (year- when there is one) and when the foaling cert was sent to the farm.
