Re: Wasn't Juddmonte going to have a partial disperal?

I guess there are a few Juddmonte horses in the Keeneland November sale, I just didn't notice them at first. The article made it seem like there would be quite a few dispersed.

Wasn't Juddmonte going to have a partial disperal?

I remember reading that in an article earlier this year. I just figured they would put the horses in either the Keeneland or Fasig Tipton sale. Has anyone heard anything else? I don't think I noticed any Juddmonte horses in either auction.

Re: Spinster S.(G1)

Fantastic race! I was a bit shocked to see her drop back, but she seemed to be very comfortable back there. I like what Mott said "sometimes you have to do it their way". She is an interesting filly. Her record this year has been sneaky good. Three grade 1's and she is below the radar of Princess, ...

Spinster S.(G1)

Surprised there was no thread. After breaking slowly, the favorite, Emollient, who was ran on/near the lead in her wins this year, appeared sluggish. The announcer said Mike Smith had gone to the whip, a couple times, at the start to try to get her to move up. She settled at the very back and honest...

Re: Match Races & Walkovers In Horse Racing

I remember Soviet Problem running in a match race. I was pretty young then though, I don't remember the specifics.

Though the race didn't happen, I seem to remember someone clamoring for a Match Race between Cigar and maybe Helissio?

Re: Eblouissante

Guessing Darley will be interested in her. I don't think they have bought broodmares at auction for awhile. The last major one I can think of was Ashado. Of course, they can change their mind at any time, for a mare they really want. Pretty sure they bought Hystericalady too, but that was years ago...

Re: Birding?

The blue jays along with their almost requisite cardinal companion made their first fall appearance here one or two weeks ago. Clear sign that autumn has arrived. And, indeed, we have morning lows in the low 50's forecast for middle of next week. Seems like lows were 75 to 78 only yesterday. God I ...

Re: War Emblem?

I found this pointed out in the comments of the article posted and went to the forum. Someone who worked on a TB farm in Illinois stated: "Another witchy mare double barreled a vet tech out her stall door. Thankfully THAT mare aborted the following year and the owner sold her (yes, the new owner wa...

I forgot all about Sixieme Sens until I saw this. I always thought her sire was beautiful but its been a long time since I saw a picture of him.

I think they could have worded this differently. It doesn't read correctly for me.

Fasig Tipton to add entries Article says they are looking for more high profile entries and will update the catalog as that happens. Re: Fasig Tipton Saratoga Fall Mixed & HORA sale

Advertisements for this sale should be printed up at Kinkos and stapled to telephone polls across NY. It's the Darley Garage Sale. Anyone looking to kill time should go through the hips of all the Darley entries and tally up the purchase prices of the ones they bought at auction, then track what th...

Re: Birding?

Not lazuli buntings. They look pretty much like mountain bluebirds to me. Best as I recall - haven't seen any recently. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/03/Mountain_Bluebird.jpg Might be an Indigo Bunting as well. The males are brilliant blue all over. I have seen a few Indigo Buntin...

Smoking Kay was bred to him this year, her dam's half sister produced Rogue Romance. She is on Starquine for $25k. Thanks for that link, Flanders. Why would someone put a saddle on a pregnant broodmare for a photo? I don't know. I found it disturbing. That is why I posted the link, I wanted to see ...

It was great at work tonight. Everyone (except one guy) had their radios blasting the game. Everyone was screaming. I would have loved to have been at the game, it sounded like an awesome time.

Re: Birding?

(Is the Ivorybill Woodpecker extinct or not ?) Its believed to be extinct but people have reported seeing it. Of course, people have reported seeing bigfoot too. It would be great if the Ivorybill was still alive. But even if it is, the population is next to nothing. There are very few(if any) fore...
