Re: Report: Zayat Sued for $23 Million, Sold Shares in American Pharoah

Pharoah may have been the horse that caused them to catch him but there's rumors that Pharoah isn't the only horse he sold shares of..and would the buyers who bought the shares be considered innocent parties in this? And as majority owners, I can't imagine shares of Pharoah being secretly sold off ...

Re: Horse shot in Lexington

I have several questions, one of which is how close in range the gun seemed to be to Penny when she was shot. I have a theory but this would depend on the area where Penny was housed as well as the above question. My grandfather raised cattle and some horses way back when, and his farm was located ...

Nocardioform Placentitis Linked to Rise in Foal Deaths

https://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing ... oal-deaths

They think its linked to the hot, dry summers/early falls the previous year, as all the outbreaks have happened after this has occurred.

Horse shot in Lexington

The mare is alive and being treated at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute but if she had been hit a few inches higher it would have killed her. Another horse was killed in the same area in 2018, when an unknown individual shot several rounds into a paddock at the horses, at Springhouse Farm on Tates C...

There's no reason not to take a chance. If she runs in the Rebel and doesn't win, send her back to the filly races.

Re: horses with unique coloring/facial markings

I know at some point we had a discussion about Darcy's Yellow Turk. This say its a painting of him, though I've seen him described as palomino a lot. I don't know if this is just what someone envisioned him looking like or if this is an actual painting of him. https://sporthorse-data.com/photos/9/5...

Also wonder if they were related to this doppleganger circa the mid-1800s: John Frederick Herring Sr. THE RACEHORSE "WHITEFACE" WITH GROOM J. GILHAM They aren't from the same female family which it kind of seemed like that is where the coloring came from. Though they could share a common ancestor s...

Well that's definitely like mother, like daughter... like granddaughter. The "apple doesn't fall far from the tree" analogy is especially appropriate with horses, I think. I think the coloring may have continued on for a bit. How about 1953 Epsom Oaks winner Ambiguity ? https://images.app.goo.gl/Bv2JzAvbURGLhUo37 Big blaze, four socks and at least one blue eye! Wonder if the other was too? 8-) First off have to say the blue eyes in black and white are kind of unsettling... This is Ambiguity's other side, it doesn't look...
