She was 2nd in a dead heat. The winner was Nausha who is from the first crop of Kingman.

Cabot, who is entered in the G3 Chick Lang Stakes, is a damline descendant of stallion Gran Zar.

Gran Zar is interesting in that he is Mexico-bred who won Mexico's Triple Crown (1978), HOTY, Champion Older Horse, etc. He stood in the United States for most of his stud career and is buried at Clear Creek.

I've never seen him pop up in a pedigree before and thought it was worth mentioning here.

Lah Ti Dar (Dubawi x Dar Re Mi) won the Middleton Stakes at York today

Full brother Too Darn Hot was 2nd in the Dante to the mighty impressive Telecaster (New Approach x Shirocco Star-2nd in Epsom Oaks)

Ward has both Tesorina (American Pharoah/Nonsuch Bay) and Lady Delaware (Pharoah 1/2 to Hootenanny) entered for the 3rd at CD on Thursday.

In other 2YO news, the unnamed 1/2 sister to Arrogate (by Into Mischief) has quietly entered the worktab at Los Al with breezes on 5/7 and 5/14. The unnamed Tapit 3/4 brother to California Chrome is doing the same at Saratoga (on 5/6 and 5/13).

Jubiloso (Shamardal), a 3YO daughter of Frankel/Noble Mission/Bullet Train 1/2 sister Joyeuse, had an encouraging maiden victory today.

This was actually her 2nd win in as many starts, very impressive filly. Has that awesome push button kick!
